Ncuti Gatwa Faces One Who Waits as Humanity is at Stake in Doctor Who Season 14 Finale Trailer
Classic series nemesis Sutekh returns and rules supreme in the teaser for the epic climax, "Empire of Death," Doctor Who Season 14. In their first season, Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday see a woman named Susan Twist show up in their travels; she is subsequently revealed as tech entrepreneur Susan Triad. But as Tom Baker-era villain Sutekh (Gabriel Woolfe) comes to turn the cosmos into dust, the Doctor Who episode "The Legend of Ruby Sunday" shows Susan as part of the "One Who Waits'" plans.
Since one of the Doctor's most terrifying classic enemies is back in the universe, a brief teaser for season 14's Finale has been released on the official Doctor Who YouTube page. In the first Trailer for "Empire of Death," Sutekh has prevailed as a possessed Harriet (Genesis Lynea) directs and deforms the TARDIS and lethal sandstorms sweep the Earth. By use of Ruby's childhood memories and travels across shattered worlds, it is up to the Doctor, Ruby, and Mel (Bonnie Langford) to bring Sutekh's rule to a stop, therefore leaving him with guilt for his role.
How deadly is Sutekh?
Despite various red herrings from the in-universe Susan Foreman trap, Carla's (Michelle Greenidge) allusions to season 2 nemesis The Beast, and the reappearance of tracks used in season 3's reveals of The Master (Derek Jacobi), Sutekh's Doctor Who homecoming wonderfully UNITes several generations. Woolfe returning to his role allows one to see the series including the Osiran God of Death, classic adversary The Mara, and spin-off foe The Trickster (Paul Marc Davis) into the recently created evil pantheon. Moreover, the arrival of Sutekh has set off several of the most highly suspenseful events of the season.
Sutekh's wrath in his first story, "The Pyramids of Mars," would have destroyed Earth in the Fourth Doctor's tiMeline. Though Mars was not the target of his war rocket, the Fourth Doctor and Sarah-Jane Smith ( Elizabeth Sladen) observed a destroyed Earth on a quick excursion to the 1980s after his release. The teaser makes it very evident that few will survive Osiran's lethal revenge against the Doctor. A storm is building over London, and sand is swarming fearful masses in the city.

Susan Twist's Resurfacing
Although Ncuti Gatwa's first season included Susan Twist's Doctor Who persona, her actual identity is only revealed quite late.
Originally debuted in 1963, Doctor Who is a science fiction television series centered on the strong character known as the Doctor, a Time Lord. Using an interdimensional time-traveling spacecraft called the TARDIS, the Doctor travels time and space with many companions, solving many issues and helping to prevent catastrophe, but they also frequently almost bring it about. The Doctor is always the same character, although they undergo regenerations which lets them be recast every few seasons as a different immortal entity with fresh personality traits.
