The Energon Universe Creates Still another G.I. Joe Franchise Pillar.
Other than fly Scarlett in via helicopter, he does not participate in Scarlett #1; maybe, future issues will let Snow Job get in on the action with Scarlett and the others. Given the first problem concludes with Scarlett being captured by the Arashikage, readers can deduce that Snow Job will be the one to assist her while she is imprisoned in the Arashikage facility, tucked away in Japan's snow-capped mountains. It will be interesting to find who turns up next in Scarlett as the G.I. Joe crew is gradually gathering in the Energon Universe.

Snow Job Debuts: Rising Energon Universe G.I. Joe Ranks
Scarlett's past with Snow Job is intriguing and helps to bind the different pre-Joe histories of the Energon Universe versions of the franchise's characters. Apart from his knowledge of living and negotiating arctic conditions, the Snow Job readers are familiar with is also a skilled marksman, sometimes regarded as the finest on the team. Though his brief appearance suggests otherwise, the Energon Universe version of the character seems to carry over his abilities into the new continuity. Given Scarlett's portrayal thus far in Scarlett #1, which reveals the G.I. Joe heroine does not suffer fools lightly, Scarlett's compliments of him definitely give weight to his talents.
Originally featured in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #11 in 1983, Snow Job has been a regular feature of the team across all its several iterations. Snow Job took his codename based on his reputation as a scam artist, much as the meaning behind it. Scarlett's past with Snow Job is intriguing and helps to bind the different pre-Joe histories of the Energon Universe versions of the franchise's characters. For long-time fans, seeing several of these characters together for the newly-formed G.I. Joe team is really thrilling as many of them have already collaborated. Duke was shown to have a past relationship with Clutch over in his own miniseries; Stalker alludes at a past with Storm Shadow and the Arashikage here in Scarlett, therefore giving the universe formed here more real and lived-in quality.

Scarlett already knows Snow Job in the Energon Universe prior to her being enlisted by Stalker for the Arashikage assignment. On a prior expedition, Snow Job actually assisted Scarlett and her old boyfriend Jinx. "Good guy in the field," Scarlett remembers. And out of the field as well. That is also less common. Though not flawless, the Scarlett miniseries' first problem is another strong entry as G.I. Joe creates new backstory in the Energon Universe.
