You gotta remember - there have been lots of Matrix Sequels and spin-off stuff! It gets really hard to keep all those rules and twists and details straight. Even if you try, the movies sometimes just go crazy. Think about it: the original Matrix movie was awesome. And so were the first sequels, even with those major shifts to how The Matrix world really worked. This might not be too different from what's been happening, except that The Matrix Resurrections really did change things in The Matrix timeline.

A fifth Matrix film sounds like it is totally up for grabs when it comes to making those new connections. Think of the Matrix 5 release, the new movie - how will it be in a way like the original, with its awesome worldbuilding, but without getting tied down to the chaos?

We really don't know that much! They are still really in the early stages - so not even any hints! The director, Drew Goddard - is great though. Hopefully, he can take the franchise to the next level. But if he's working with a ton of existing characters that we already know - that means things are going to get pretty tricky.
