Is The High Republic Era Finally Getting Interesting?
"Star Wars: The High Republic" has finally had enough! Those super awesome Jedi are done messing around and are about to get serious, with their biggest rivals - Marchion Ro and those dangerous Nihil, in the "High Republic Era"! That's right, we're going to see some epic battles!
Who Are These Nihil Marauders, Anyway?
These Nihil marauders have a special spot in "Star Wars: The High Republic"! They have been terrorizing those Force-sensitive beings, the Jedi Order - making life difficult for all of those super good guys. And with their crazy leader Marchion Ro, those villains are tough! They have an edge that nobody can touch.
How Did Those Nihil Marauders Get So Powerful?
The High Republic Era isn't known for big wars and craziness, right? But it actually had some super weird things happening behind-the-scenes! It turns out those Nihil managed to claim an entire sector of space - calling it the "Occlusion Zone" - and with their totally sneaky methods, the Jedi have had a tough time facing off with them.
Is That Jedi Master Keeve Trennis?
- You are not wrong. The new "Star Wars: The High Republic" issue, The High Republic #10, had her as one of the main stars.
- Remember her? Keeve Trennis made a bunch of mistakes in the earlier stories, so it's good to see her actually getting some momentum. It turns out she's working with some other great characters - even some Jedi Council members to go into this zone where those Force-draining predators roam - a really, really bad crew of aliens!
So Those Nihil and Those Aliens - Can the Jedi Actually Win?
There's hope, for now, anyway. In the comic issue The High Republic #10, Keeve took down this super scary, bad scientist named Baron Boolan! Think of him as the creator of those evil "Force-draining Predators". You got to feel kinda bad for those predators, too, but Boolan wasn't just trying to control them. They actually do harm a lot of Force Users!
It might change the whole "Star Wars High Republic"! The Jedi might finally have a fighting chance to turn the tide against those bad guys! Hopefully, that means we might finally see those super powerful Jedi do what they're known for!
But there's a big reason this era is getting extra exciting. It turns out the Star Wars: The Acolyte show is set in the High Republic Era! This could bring a lot more fun with the characters in those "Star Wars Comics" - the Jedi vs Nihil is on! We’re even seeing them explore all the cool, original lore behind this era!
Fans, this is our time - the "High Republic" is super exciting! And since "The High Republic" happens far before those Star Wars movies we know and love, we are getting to see Jedi really make a stand.
