Prepare for more FBI action; confirmed release dates for seasons 7, 6, and 4
Prepare yourself to return into the Fbi universe! Officially, Cbs has revealed the dates of premiere for the forthcoming seasons of its well-known crime drama series.
Fbi season 7 will start the block on Tuesday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m.; FBI: International season 4 at 9:00 p.m.; Fbi: Most Wanted season 6 at 10:00 p.m. will follow. Indeed, all three shows will return for still another season of exciting crime-solving action.
For newcomers to the franchise, the FBI universe revolves on the criminal division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New York. Running strong since 2018, FBI has produced two spinoffs: Fbi: Most Wanted, which centers on the New York Fugitive Task Force, and Fbi: International, following the Budapest-based Fly Team.
This Season Will Test Whether FBI Can Actually Do No Wrong
Dick Wolf's greater One Chicago universe comprises the FBI franchise in addition to the Law & Order one. Wolf's ability to create such enduring and profitable franchises is evidence of his producing power. But compared to Law & Order, the FBI universe is still rather young, thus the next seasons will be vital for proving its longevity.
Major challenges the franchises have faced in their past include the overlapping industry strikes in 2023 and the worldwide industry closures during the early days of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020. All three shows have survived and prospered despite these difficulties. But under network cost-cutting policies, the main actors in FBI and Most Wanted had their episode guarantees lowered this year.
The next seasons will be a trial for the FBI franchise, thus they will have to show Cbs their ongoing profitability. Like the other venerable properties in Dick Wolf's universe, the shows have the potential to run for many years to come if they can weather this storm and retain their strong viewership.
