Abbott Elementary Season 4 Owes Principal Ava A Greater Role
Janelle James's Principal Ava has been among Abbott Elementary's most consistently funny characters since the show's debut, but she was underused criminally in season 3. Especially now that Janine and Gregory are together, Abbott Elementary season 4 needs to give Ava a more prominent part once more. She didn't get to play as much as she had on other visits outside the amazing episode 10, "2 Ava 2 Fest," and this was really felt. The season 3 finale of Abbott Elementary paid off Gregory and Janine's slow-burn relationship, therefore allowing more time for Ava's pranks.
Ava did show up during season 3, helping Barbara stand up to the rest of her choir and competing against a rival sorority sister and colleague administrator during an instructional panel. But neither of these storylines let Ava shine as both minimized the delusional attitude that made her so appealing despite her clear imperfections. Ava has been mercilessly self-centered, dishonest, and inconsiderate from her entrance. She is also delightfully self-aggrandizing, which makes her among the most appealing bad managers since Michael Scott of The Office. Season 3 mostly missed this component of her charm.
Ava A Perfect Abbott Elementary Season 4 Story Gives Thanks From Janine and Gregory
Should Ava compel Gregory and Janine to either hide or reveal their developing relationship, this could lead to the too careful couple forsaking their years-long love.
To be fair to Abbott Elementary season 3, the show had to vary a lot in season 4 from its known format. Although the various celebrity cameos in Abbott Elementary season three indicated the program has more power than ever, they also took attention away from the simple appeal of past seasons. Gregory and Janine were still dancing around their affections for one another until Janine's twelve-week fellowship at the school district pulled them apart. With Janine absent, Ava had one less colleague to harass. This storyline accounted for a lot of the screen time in the episode.
Ava Can Undo A Season 3 Twist at Abbott Elementary Season 4
Should Ava find problems with Janine and Gregory's relationship, their tentative understanding could be lost.
As Ava was before Janine bonded with her in season 1, episode 9, "Step Class," she would be a minor antagonist stepping in the way of Gregory and Janine's Abbott Elementary love. That trip helped Janine see Ava differently by showing her that she cared for her sick grandmother, so humanizing the imperfect principal. By season three, even Ava had come to see that, despite her resentment of Janine, they depend on one other for survival. Should Ava object to Janine and Gregory's connection, their tenuous understanding could be lost.
Needs More Of Its Most Underrated Character Abbott Elementary Season 4
Abbott Elementary season 3 was very excellent, but the fourth excursion of the program still has to give one underappreciated supporting actor top priority. Since the workplace sitcom has discovered a wonderful mix between approachable heroes and quirkier supporting stars, Abbott Elementary's ensemble of characters is all absolutely essential for the success of the show. As Mr. Morton shows, even the most unusual Abbott Elementary supporting stars always have a use. He seemed to be little more than a bitter divorcee for most of season three. Gregory's goal in the overall narrative of the episode became evident when he and Janine tried to hook up.
Mr. Morton performed a somber soliloquy on how he started dating a colleague years ago and how, although at first happy, the coworker in issue turned out to be his now-hated ex-wife. This almost stopped Gregory and Janine from hooking up before Abbott Elementary season 4, therefore demonstrating that Morton's sexism fulfilled a somewhat crucial narrative role. That However, the ever-expanding cast of the mockumentary implies that the series lacks constantly time to give all of its performers top priority. This led to one legendary figure being shortchanged in most of season three's episodes.
Given Janine never truly got over her problems with the principle, Janine and Ava fighting one other may be interesting.
Though they never really addressed their different points of view, the two managed to coexist together. Janine is a seasoned people pleaser; Ava is all about anarchy and looks out for herself. Abbott Elementary's fourth season could alter this dynamic when Ava returns to the main stage on its fourth excursion.
Abbott Elementary's cast is commended for its diversity, and its authors have been able to expose the shortcomings of its characters without sacrificing the audience's empathy. Abbott Elementary is set in a school, hence there is always lots of chance for narratives about instructors and children to take front stage. Season 4 would be lacking to leave Ava's story on the sidelines, while there are plenty of narratives that would bring her back to the fore.
