Thomas Gibson Discusses Criminal Minds in New Video Amidst His Evolution Absence
Hotch is absent from Criminal Minds: Evolution, yet Thomas Gibson openly talks about Criminal Minds on social media. With its resurrection of the police procedural, Paramount+ brings back the profiler to the small screen two years after the CBS series ended. The greenlighting of Criminal Minds by the streamer, Evolution season 3 even before season 2 aired, attests to the ongoing popularity of the show. Although the main cast of the program has stayed the same, numerous well-known personalities—including Hotch, the longest-serving chief of the BAU—can still make sporadic appearances to the franchise. Unfortunately, Gibson's Criminal Minds season 12 exit makes his return somewhat difficult.
Hotch's Criminal Minds: Evolution's absence is openly discussed by Gibson on a new TikHub video. View his post down below. The videos are bits from Gibson's personal Cameo, in which he messages his admirers personally. Given his remarks on Criminal Minds, one can safely assume that he still receives a lot of procedural questions.
Should Criminal Minds: Evolution bring back Hotch by Thomas Gibson?
Oddly, Gibson was let go from Criminal Minds after an on-set fight. The actor left suddenly, leaving the writers to run about trying to figure out his absence. The character had been on the show from the beginning, hence eliminating him would not be simple. Eventually, they managed to write him off by disclosing that Hotch signed up for the witness protection program in response to Mr. Scratch's escape meant to save his son and self. Peter Lewis decided not to go back to the FBI following his death and instead nurture his child.
Hotch has no narrative justification for not going back to Criminal Minds. Among his peers, he is still loved and alive. Though it shouldn't be tough, there will be some talks about how this affects Emily Prentiss's role as the BAU chief right now. Given his tarnished professional record, it is imperative to have explicit rules on Gibson's future comeback. It may be something that occurs in Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 since it seems like there is not enough time to do that for the current season.
Looking into Criminal Minds: Evolution
The FBI's elite crew of criminal profilers in *Criminal Minds: Evolution* faces their toughest challenge yet: a UnSub who has built a network of other serial killers using the pandemic. One murder at a time, the crew must find them as the world opens up and the network comes live. Original cast members keeping on their roles are Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez, and Paget Brewster. Zach Gilford joins to the energetic group as a season-long guest star.
Given that the most recent season was aired on Paramount+, the show boasts a sizable audience. Strong action scenes, gripping stories, and likable characters have drawn compliments on the show.
Hotch's Coming Back
One would struggle to find someone who would be against not seeing Hotch back as part of Criminal Minds: Evolution's ensemble if Paramount+ and the people behind the show could iron out the behind-the-scenes mechanics of Gibson's comeback. For long-time police procedural buffs, even if he resurfaced as a guest star would be a fantastic pleasure. Beyond that, given the BAU is understaffed right now, his presence would also be appreciated.
Every Thursday on Paramount+, fresh Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 episodes arrive.
Emily Prentiss: Commanding Change
Emily Prentiss has assumed the position of BAU head, but the aftermath from Aaron Hotchner's untimely death has finally caught up with her in Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2. Viewers have seen her grow from a BAU member under control to group head.
Though the authors of the program are always striving to provide original and interesting material, it is difficult to predict what the future holds for it. Hopefully, audiences will keep appreciating the suspenseful turns the drama offers,
Criminal Minds: Episode 3 Brings Back a Fan- Favorite Character from Season 2
Originally a character from the CBS series, Brian, played by Paul F. Tompkins, was a fresh villain in *Criminal Minds: Evolution* season 2, episode 3. The show has brought several fresh characters, and it's exciting to see them interact with the main ensemble.
Although the new season's original characters have drawn compliments, longstanding viewers of the show will also find great appeal in the return of old characters.
