Is There a New Star Wars Animated Show Coming?
With the Clone Rebellion still lingering in those awesome Star Wars animated TV shows, lots of fans were totally hyped about a new show being announced, like the new The Bad Batch Season 3! It actually ended a couple months ago - but we haven't gotten a word about a new series!
What's Happening with the Star Wars Animation Crew?
- Lucasfilm, they are totally behind the animated content in the Star Wars universe, and they dropped a huge bombshell at D23 with this awesome trailer for Skeleton Crew !
- There’s a ton more to discover, as Dave Filoni is totally behind the animated Star Wars scene. You know him for working on Clone Wars - He said at Star Wars Celebration, back in 2023, that there is still more magic on the way for animation fans, even with a big show like The Bad Batch coming to an end.
- He's even training a whole new crew for those animated Star Wars shows - like how he worked with George Lucas to bring us The Clone Wars! But the best part is that there are already jobs opening up - so maybe that is a good sign that Lucasfilm Animation is gearing up for the next big animated adventure!
What About the "Bad Batch" Clone Rebellion?
The finale was actually super exciting, but it left a whole lot of clues for what might be next. There was Captain Rex - he was connected to those Clone troopers - he even worked with Echo, who joined forces with that super smart Clone, Emerie Karr! It makes sense that a whole series would pop up around this awesome crew.
Will it Be at Star Wars Celebration?
- No announcement came at D23, which is kinda a bummer! Everyone is totally on the edge of their seats hoping to find out. Maybe that is for Star Wars Celebration 2025. This huge event is a great way to show off those new stories.
- Think about how Tales of the Jedi got its debut - right there at Star Wars Celebration 2023! That might mean that this clone rebellion series could be coming to life soon, and even more so since we have already seen some live-action series come out that also have their roots in the Clone Wars, like Andor. It seems like they might want to go slower with new stories!
- You gotta wait - but hey - it’s totally going to be a real treat! If it’s really true, we’re getting a whole new series of awesome Star Wars content! Those animated series are so good, right? Just wait and see what’s in store for us.
Everyone loves the Star Wars animated TV shows - especially those stories that follow The Bad Batch! We really are hoping for that new, crazy, clone adventure, and it seems like we have to keep waiting!
