A New Pitch For a Wesley Snipes Blade Movie
Okay, so we're all about that MCU Blade movie - it's going to star Mahershala Ali. It’s pretty huge news but while everyone is waiting to see if the new Blade is gonna be awesome, it's totally crazy how the creator of X-Men '97, the super popular animated series, actually pitched the idea of a brand-new Wesley Snipes Blade movie. This guy, Beau DeMayo, totally thinks that we need to give the iconic vampire hunter one more outing.
Where Did We See Snipes as Blade Before?
- Fans know that Wesley Snipes owned that Blade role, but Deadpool & Wolverine just gave us that fun, short Blade cameo to bring him back into the Marvel universe!
- Now Deadpool 3 is happening! So maybe that movie could bring back Wesley Snipes, especially if he got the chance to reprise his legendary role. It's all speculation, but the rumors are out there, especially since Ryan Reynolds has been pushing for it!
- It is really interesting that Mahershala Ali has officially taken over for Blade. But those movies with Wesley Snipes were so amazing that people still hope to see them get more movies - kind of a big finale.
What Makes Beau's Pitch So Special?
- DeMayo came up with a totally epic storyline. It’s a little bit spooky - we’re going to go back in time, check in with the vampire hunter - way back when, too, but with a totally modern twist!
- Beau DeMayo is the writer for that show, X-Men '97. Now he's got some big ideas on how to keep the Blade universe going - what if Blade becomes a super powerful mentor, training young vampires to turn into good guys!
What Is The Pitch All About?
This pitch seems pretty amazing, with those epic scenes where the new villain could be a powerful supervillain like some of those from the comics, and some crazy moments of Blade in his best action, while showing off some incredible, intense fights.
The good part of this? It’s not just Marvel Universe! There’s still a whole bunch of potential for stories where Wesley Snipes Blade Movie could continue to be awesome.
- DeMayo was definitely inspired by Logan when he pitched the idea to have Blade totally kick the bucket as the most hardcore mentor ever!
- It would make sense if we got a whole new Blade series, or even just one more movie.
- Fans love a good Marvel spinoff, but who knows if Marvel Cinematic Universe will go for this one. There's definitely a huge potential here!
I can't wait to find out more about the new MCU Blade Movie, and just maybe there will be an awesome possible Blade Movie! The fact that Wesley Snipes came back for a brief cameo means the doors are still open to bring that character back! The big question is - can it really top all those great Blade movies with the amazing Wesley Snipes? I can't wait to see it.
