Will "Secret Wars" Finally Make Up For Star-Lord's Mistake in "Infinity War"?
Remember Peter Quill? Our beloved Star-Lord from the Guardians of the Galaxy! He kinda messed things up in Avengers: Infinity War, right? And, fans are ready to see some kind of big win for this iconic hero.
Did Star-Lord Really Mess Up That Badly?
- We know he lost control after Thanos did that crazy thing and took Gamora! His team totally lost their shot at stopping Thanos on Titan - making it possible for him to destroy half the universe, and leading to Avengers: Endgame. Ouch, that was tough to watch.
That one big move by Star-Lord turned a lot of Marvel Cinematic Universe fans against him, because his actions didn't exactly put him on the list of heroes. But here's a great chance to change his bad reputation and show just how powerful this guy really is. He even seems to be ready to fight with those other big superheroes because, you know, they need him in those Avengers films!
So What Will Happen To Him In Secret Wars?
- That upcoming movie, Avengers: Secret Wars - it's part of Marvel Studios Phase 6 and we know they're planning to adapt the big Secret Wars event, just like those Marvel Comics stories that gave us a massive universe-shattering plot!
- Here's how this will all tie together - Remember how those other Avengers fought a cosmic threat in a battle that literally broke reality, where there were whole worlds in different timelines and dimensions? And Doctor Doom, a super powerful villain, was the master of it all?
- If the Russo brothers bring those Secret Wars comics to life, the big villain - Doctor Doom is the ruler in his "Castle Doom". He has this giant, crazy talking tree - it’s called "World Tree"!
Fans are excited, because there are those super awesome hints that Chris Pratt is coming back! We know Star-Lord will return as "Legendary Star-Lord" after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ended with his story moving back to Earth - with his grandfather! That means they’re keeping him ready to take the lead once more in this huge battle!
How Does "Secret Wars" Save Star-Lord's Reputation?
- Think of it like this - In Secret Wars, the heroes need to work with a few things to really get an upper hand! That means those comics have Star-Lord taking some risks - like planting a "Talking Tree" seed in Castle Doom - this would then transform into the legendary, talking, superhero tree - that takes down Doctor Doom's crazy castle!
It sounds like Avengers: Secret Wars is going to be an incredible battle across those alternate dimensions! This huge, interdimensional, world-breaking fight could bring Star-Lord back into the limelight! Those Avengers: Infinity War fans are about to see that his actions, even though they seemed like a mistake, had the right idea. Who else can't wait to see those awesome scenes play out - with some super high-tech battle action?
This also ties in to the "Battle of Earth" scene we saw in Avengers: Endgame where Star-Lord joined the fight, right? That might even tie into the plot in Avengers 6 too!
It would definitely give Star-Lord a super epic comeback. That would mean, even after Iron Man and those original Avengers said goodbye, the crew would have some seriously talented individuals fighting alongside them. This Marvel event just might have the best team of superheroes we've ever seen!
