Yep - that crazy guy, Handsome Jack! Fans really love him. The super villain of "Borderlands 2"! But it looks like they couldn't fit him in for this first Movie. Even though he has some wild plans to become ruler of Pandora!

What about those "Borderlands" Characters: Brick, Mordecai and Gaige?

Yeah, it was a huge bummer, and it kind of makes a future movie even more exciting, but all these Characters (from "Borderlands 1" and "Borderlands 2") were cut. And they really could have had a big part in the story. Think about Brick, who is like a "Borderlands" tank with some serious fighting abilities! Mordecai loved hunting and being a sharpshooter, and Gaige, with all her explosives, could have had a blast!

Is This Even a Real Borderlands Movie?

This whole "Borderlands" movie is not exactly following the storyline from the game perfectly. Some stuff gets moved around or changed completely. Like Tiny Tina? You might be surprised! The film makes her older than she is, plus she is a bit different!

Some people are disappointed that some awesome Borderlands game characters got cut from the movie, because there is such a huge, super devoted fanbase. The "Borderlands" universe has a whole bunch of super memorable characters!

Is the Movie Worth Watching If So Many Characters Were Cut?

That depends. They did keep a bunch of characters! You got Lilith who is a treasure hunter - you might recognize her from the games. And there are characters like Roland and Krieg, and even Dr. Zed - but it was too bad that they couldn't squeeze in a whole lot more!
The film, while having great action, did leave a lot of "Borderlands" characters behind! The movie gave those awesome "Borderlands" video game characters a whole new life in this action comedy! And those of you who've played the game - get ready for an awesome journey through Pandora - you can check out what's going on for the world - it's pretty epic. The "Borderlands" franchise might actually see more movies if the box office results are good, so hopefully we might even see more characters coming!
Who knows, maybe we will get some cool easter eggs and a hint of those missing video game characters.
