You might know Doctor Doom as a crazy supervillain, and Storm as one of the most awesome Mutant Heroes! And yeah, they've definitely battled a lot, but it seems like these two actually have a history that goes way beyond just being enemies! Their romantic story is one that Marvel Comics keeps mentioning but doesn't give us any details about!
What is The Story About Storm and Doctor Doom's Romance?
It's pretty much the big question for any Marvel Fan! Marvel Comics first started mentioning the possibility all the way back in the '80s! You know, Storm traveled to Latveria, Doctor Doom's crazy, metal kingdom, and those two started hanging out - they actually started sharing meals, joking around - maybe it even looked like they could be in love. Doctor Doom was definitely making some bold moves but they wound up not becoming a thing. We actually saw that this didn't turn into Romance! Marvel Comics likes to show us just a tiny glimpse, and then...nada!
Why Does Doctor Doom Want to Date Storm?
You have to admit, Doctor Doom is super charming when he wants to be, so, who wouldn't be attracted to him, right?
It's not really that surprising they were flirting! After all, Doctor Doom is this super genius and one of Marvel Universe's most powerful characters. They call him "The Latvarian Dictator" but hey, that power comes with an incredible amount of awesome Doctor Doom Power, not just science but even magical stuff. Then you got Storm - that fierce X-Men character! Imagine! The coolest combination of Marvel Power - she's like this mutant queen of the weather!
Why Did Storm and Doom Never Become A Couple?
- Well, they might be a really hot couple, and those comic covers actually really show off their Marvel Comic, - they are so perfect together - - but they always managed to make things pretty bad between each other when they did start being close.
- Think about it; They just can't quite get together - too many bad things keep happening around them. Who would ever believe these two are not made to be villains?!
- This Marvel Supervillain (Doom) was so determined! They actually wound up taking those fights and crazy adventures. Maybe, they just needed time. It really would have been super unexpected. They are two very powerful, independent people!
- And you have to think about the history, too! Doctor Doom has taken on a whole bunch of other heroes, including some Avengers! He’s had quite the bad history, but things might be changing. They haven’t really tried being good! Maybe the Fantastic Four, a lot of their allies will try to bring some good to Doom's crazy actions?
