New Zeraora Illustration Rare Card For Pokémon TCG: Stellar Crown Is A Must-Have For Collectors
A new Illustration Rare card from the Stellar Crown expansion for Pokémon Tcg has been revealed and it's a must-have for collectors. Stellar Crown is the Western version of the Japan-exclusive Stellar Miracle set. Most of the Japanese cards are expected to arrive with the release of Pokémon TCG: Stellar Crown and one such card is a gorgeous Illustration Rare.
Officially revealed for the Stellar Miracle set, the Mythical Generation 7 Pokémon Zeraora will receive a unique Illustration Rare card in addition to its standard print. The Electric-type’s card will be a standard Pokémon card and is not an ex card. However, the new Illustration Rare card that is likely making its way into the Pokémon Tcg: Stellar Crown expansion is outstanding.
New Zeraora Illustration Rare Card For Pokémon TCG: Stellar Crown Exudes Beauty
The main point of focus in its favor is its aesthetic value. Simply speaking, the new Zeraora Illustration Rare card is beautiful. The artwork by Kazumasa Yasukuni features the Mythical Pokémon seemingly happy while energized by blue-colored lightning. In addition to that, there are streaks of light in the background, indicating that it is moving at incredible speed – which makes sense, considering how fast Zeraora is known to be. The illustration present in this card gives it increased value for Pokémon TCG collectors, even if it is not as rare as a Special Illustration Rare.
The artwork for the standard print is also gorgeous, though it does not encompass the entirety of the card and is limited to the regular frame.
In terms of gameplay value, however, the new Zeraora card could be better. The Pokémon card only has 120 HP and a single attack. The attack called Combat Thunder, which costs a Lightning Energy and a Colorless Energy, deals 20+ damage. The attack does 20 more damage for each of the opponent’s Benched Pokémon. This is a rather simplistic move – surely, when used under the right circumstances, it could deal a big blow to the opponent’s Active Pokémon, but its damage is capped at 120 since Pokémon TCG only allows five Benched Pokémon.
Overall, the Zeraora card is quite a disappointment competitively, especially considering the Mythical Pokémon’s popularity. Nevertheless, the aesthetic value of its Illustration Rare print is enormous and it is likely going to be one of the most sought-after cards in the Stellar Crown expansion.
