DC's New Evil Justice League Assemble in a 'Team Photo' So Breathtaking; We're Almost Cheering for Them
The newest "Justice League" gathers on a variant cover highlighting the DC Universe's most recent twist on the venerable team. Almost here comes Absolute Power, and Amanda Waller is poised to unleash Task Force VII on the globe. This cover begs the issue of what Waller's new team will offer to the DCU and presents an interesting perspective of them.
With its most recent solicitations, DC Comics has offered fans a taste of what September holds. With its main series and several tie-in issues and spin-offs, Absolute Power keeps up its ability to subvert the realm of heroes and villains. Apart from some outstanding main covers, there are also quite fascinating variations highlighting the new opponent of the event, Task Force VII.
DC Twisted New Justice League gathers on variant cover.
Amanda Waller has been working to create her own brand of order, but she wasn't the only one with that kind of aspiration. Targeting global eradication of crime, Batman's backup persona Zur-En-Arrh sent his consciousness to the artificial Failsafe body. As host bodies for additional Zur-En-Arrh personalities the original acquired while traversing the multiverse, Zur-En-Arrh gathered a collection of Amazo robots to assist his goal. Fortunately, Batman stopped Zur-En-Arrh prior to his assignment being completed. The locations of the Amazo robots are yet unknown, though.
Of course, Waller will acquire these Amazos and Failsafe to assemble Task Force VII. Although readers have not yet seen the squad on the pages of a DC Comic, this cover is among the best ones they have seen of this robotic Justice League so. Seeing these automatons and their dead, cold-eyed stars copying the best DC Universe heroes makes one rather uncomfortable. One does wonder, though, what this team is capable of. Killer imagery like this truly hypes this twisted Justice League as Absolute Power gets closer.
The New Team of Amanda Waller Shows Great Prospect.
The ability of Task Force VII members is currently unknown to fans. But this cover gives the almost all-Amazo team great terrifying power. Readers have seen corrupted or otherwise bad Justice League-like teams before, but this cover does a great job of marketing the eerie menace the actual Justice League is going to have to battle. Absolute Power is almost here, and soon this robotic Justice League will demonstrate to the DC Universe what they are capable of.
DC Comics have Absolute Power #3 out on September 4th.
