Though there would be many of reasons to be thrilled about Monk 2, the most important thing the follow-up could do is bring back Bitty Schram's Sharona. Sharona was written off the program when Schram left the series at the end of season 3. Traylor Howard's Natalie Teeger replaced Adrian's helper; she stayed on the show until its conclusion and then came back for the film. Though Mr. Monk's absence from following seasons and the movie was felt nonetheless, Natalie was a wonderful replacement for Sharona and created her own legacy.
After the flawless finish of Mr. Monk's Last Case, Sharona's comeback is maybe the only thing that would make a sequel worthwhile. Having become a fan-favorite character while appearing far less than names like Randy, Leland, and Natalie, Sharona made rather the effect during the period she was Adrian's secretary. Given Mr. Monk's Last Case presented the ideal chance to bring Monk's cast back together, it was disheartening to see Sharona excluded. Sharona's comeback is maybe the only element that would make a sequel worthwhile following Mr. Monk's Last Case's ideal ending, even if another Monk movie with a fresh case would be quite entertaining.
Monk author Andy Breckman, who also penned Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie, clarified during an EW interview that they "had to be a little selective" about which characters and narratives to use in the film. No additional explanation was offered as to why Bitty Schram did not show up as Sharona for the Monk film. While Scharm left Monk following season 3, she returned as Sharona in season 8, episode 10, "Mr. Monk and Sharona." Many were hoping Sharona would be in the movie since she was in Monk's penultimate season.
Sharona technically showed up in Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie in a Monk pilot flashback. Although Sharona is not in Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie, the movie notes her character several times. As hinted at in the last seasons of Monk, Randy and Sharona started a relationship and finally got married. According to Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie, Benji, Sharona's son, has recently had a child. Sharona had to help take care of her grandson, hence she couldn be at the wedding. Although it disappointed me not to see Sharona in the Monk movie, at least it gave some interesting updates on her and Randy's life.

The movie shows Monk in the thick of a big case directly related to his stepdaughter, who is ready to get married.
The plot of the film adds much value to the entertainment. Viewers will relish the show for its mix of drama, comedy, and action. The episode is much-loved with a pleasant ending and Monk's last case.

Though it remains to be seen whether Monk 2 will take place, Adrian is currently once more employed as a consultant. Mr. Monk's Last Case focused mostly on Adrian's mental health's effects under the COVID-19 epidemic. Adrian was now in a very low moment in his life and has deteriorated since the end of Monk. Luckily Monk discovered the will required to handle a very intimate matter. Although the cast of Mr. Monk's Last Case brought back several well-known names, one main character was absent and has to come back should a sequel take place.
Should a sequel develop, the show is likely to motivate viewers to savor the series. For spectators, the series concluded on such a high note is excellent. Fans should especially expect the show to be even more awaited since the creators intend to create a sequel.
