Now it seems like they might give Jay that paranormal perspective, allowing him to get even more tangled in the strange situations of his ever-growing ghost family!
But, you might think that there are already enough opportunities for some scary stuff to happen with this new plot. I mean, you've got a spooky mansion, with ghosts all over the place - we already have enough scenarios to put poor Jay in harms way - a a close call with a falling ladder or even an electrocution might just give him those ghost-seeing abilities. Why mess with all the spooky and suspense-filled scenarios that are already there?
Let's Explore the Ghosts Universe
This could be an even more exciting chapter in the show. Instead of taking the "almost-death" route (as much as we love those close-calls!), there's a lot of really unique possibilities out there, especially considering the quirky nature of "Ghosts." What about dreaming? Imagine that one of those ghostly spirits is actually messing with Jay's head, giving him visions. It would totally spice up the whole storyline!
Plus, this storyline adds so much potential to develop a new type of ghostly phenomenon – an alternate way that someone can interact with the spirits that inhabit the "Ghosts" universe. A new level of spookiness is already coming!
"Ghosts" Will Find Creative Solutions (and It's Going to be Amazing!)
If this series continues to move the narrative and add depth and uniqueness to their "Ghost world" — think of a world with ghosts with powers! If they can keep doing this with the kind of quality that gave season 2 that 100% Rotten Tomatoes score? They are going to be a major player in the comedy scene.
I can't wait to see how the series brings Jay into this spooky and exciting world, which, I have to admit, has been pretty much limited to Sam since the start of the show!
