Deadpool and Wolverine Have Joined the MCU – Will They Stick Around?
Deadpool and Wolverine have finally become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadpool & Wolverine broke some serious box office records, making it clear that audiences love seeing this duo team up.
The Multiverse Saga has been super intense for the MCU, and Deadpool & Wolverine proved to be a hilarious and heartbreaking addition to this new set of Movies. But with the end of the Multiverse Saga on the horizon, it is definitely possible that we’ll see more Deadpool and Wolverine movies. And let’s not forget that those teases of a crying Thor and Deadpool’s bigger mission in the MCU may leave these two characters to stick around for more shenanigans.
Could Deadpool Be Staying For Good in the MCU?
At the start of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, we see that the TVA (the Time Variance Authority) was actually inviting Deadpool to move over to the MCU for good, to Earth-616. Sadly, they would wipe out Deadpool's old universe and everyone in it if Deadpool joined them permanently.
Now, the only way Deadpool’s “loved ones” (and by that we mean everyone on Earth-10005) get to stay in existence is for a new Wolverine to show up on their scene. This happened when the Deadpool team-up led to Logan making it into the MCU for good and preventing a total erasure! So basically, we’ve had one near miss with the TVA! Deadpool has an appointment with fate and still needs to save everyone!
Is The Future of Deadpool & Wolverine Really In the Multiverse Saga?
We all have to give the Time Variance Authority some serious credit for coming up with the perfect catchphrase! We've got a great example of it in the scene where Thor was crying in the background, and Deadpool is obviously dying to know the full story!
With that awesome TVA storyline happening, we have the perfect setting to get those Deadpool and Wolverine antics going on in the next movie – a Multiverse Saga where they are likely to make their grand return! Fans will be anxious to find out what this whole connection between Deadpool and Thor was! Did he bring him some chimichangas? Did Deadpool rescue the God of Thunder from a tough situation? We’ve got to see it unfold, don’t we?
Why They Will Stick Around the MCU: They Are the Biggest Hits
Seriously, Deadpool & Wolverine totally broke all kinds of box office records! The most significant movie openings in the R-rated movie category — can we say, it’s basically a huge money maker. The numbers speak for themselves, and those at Marvel are probably jumping up and down over how those records were broken, leading to what could be a continued, epic series of adventures in the Multiverse Saga!
Now, imagine this – they get those heroes (Deadpool, Wolverine, and maybe even some unexpected heroes or villains, and we might be thinking Thor since we’ve already heard the hint!) going on those multiverse adventures with this movie crew, making those record-breaking profits! If it makes this much money for Disney and Marvel, they’d be fools to stop right here, and we know Disney loves to build upon the successful characters and films that generate more money, right? It seems likely that the movie franchise’s fate will continue as fans’ demand for these types of superhero action Movies remains a big priority.
Future Adventures Await: A New Set of Marvel Superheroes
Okay, nothing's officially confirmed. Will we get a Deadpool 4 or a Deadpool and Wolverine sequel? Nobody's telling us just yet, but Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and even Shawn Levy (the director) have openly shared their wish for a crazy team-up between those guys and Spider-Man! Imagine those hilarious dynamics, right? Even if the MCU goes through all of its big crossovers like Secret Wars, I think there’s definitely room for a fun team-up.
What I want to know is, what about the classic pairing of Wolverine and Spider-Man? We have already had some huge, epic, awesome Marvel adventures with some pretty epic events with both. Maybe the classic movie moments from Spider-Man: No Way Home and the hilarious journey of the TVA’s Loki were the only previews needed, for a bunch of people! All of this points towards a big Marvel universe future. It feels inevitable that we'll be seeing more of those fun antics in the MCU.
Why The Multiverse Is The Perfect Playground For Deadpool & Wolverine
The Marvel Universe is just getting bigger, especially with all the multiverse mayhem! Those crossovers and multiple universes? They're opening doors for tons of epic stories. If we look at Deadpool & Wolverine’s wild run so far, we see that they're the ultimate fun duo in that super crazy, complex, and sometimes quite ridiculous world. I think you're about to see a lot more action-packed adventures and outrageous comedy on screen – get ready for a whole lot of crazy in those future movies!
I think they’ve given everyone exactly what they need. They are in the MCU! Plus, the new Marvel movies are going to be so crazy! It's like the sky's the limit for the next big story and adventure, and for the two heroes of the Marvel universe who have already achieved major milestones in movies that everyone loved, that sky's definitely got an unlimited capacity to make people excited. Those stories about Spider-Man team-ups? Yeah, I'm ready for that – and so is the rest of the fan community.
