Ryan1 and Amanda might find themselves in the same utopian universe.
Jason2 brings Ryan1 to an other utopian realm in Dark Matter episode 6 and leaves him there after Ryan1 discovers he is not the real Jason from his world. Episode 7 of Dark Matter also shows a utopian future in which Amanda chooses to settle rather than travel back to Jason's original realm with him. If not astronomically higher, the chances of Ryan 1 and Amanda living in the same universe would be 1 in a million, considering how an infinite number of worlds can simultaneously exist according to the many-worlds hypothesis and the show's understanding of parallel worlds.
Given the great variety of possible parallel worlds, a coincidence wherein Ryan1 and Amanda meet paths appears quite improbable. But the two individuals might have arrived in the same utopian planet as Dark Matter is a fanciful program stressing entertainment more than reason and probability. Examining the world(s) Amanda and Ryan 1 closer reveals how difficult it is not to overlook their similar skyline. The brilliant auroras in both situations suggest that the two individuals live in the same planet and will most certainly run across one another.
The Apple TV+ Show's Season 2's Perfect Setup Is Perfect Thanks To Genius Dark Matter Theory
Although the future of Dark Matter following season 1 is unknown, a brilliant notion exactly lays it out following the finale of episode 7. Apple TV+'s Dark Matter episode 7 shows Amanda and Jason1's sad separation after traversing several exciting parallel universes over its running period. Luckily for Jason 1, after he eventually finds his original universe after tirelessly manifesting it for days, this tragedy is shortly followed by some sort of hope.
Jason1 sets off to get supplies to make sure he overpowers Jason2 when he meets him after verifying he is at the correct planet. But before showing a confrontation between Jason1 and Jason2, the Apple TV+ show shocks viewers with another turn at the ending of episode 7. If that wasn't enough, one minute detail in Dark Matter episode 7 allows for a fascinating Theory that might open the path for another season.
Ryan1 and Amanda have the means to go through the box once more.
Episode 7 of Dark Matter also features an intriguing Chekhov's gun scenario whereby Amanda requests Jason 1 not to leave her with any ampules of the substance enabling multiversal journeying through The Box. Still, Jason 1 surreptitiously drops two ampules in her purse since he knows she could need them sometime. Although this could only be the way the show emphasizes how much Jason1 loves Amanda and her welfare, the fact he drops exactly two ampules of the medicine cannot be a random detail. Amanda's comeback in the show's finale is set up by this intentional move, and she most certainly won't be alone.
Though that would not be particularly practical, Amanda and Ryan1 will ultimately run across one another if they live in the same universe. Encouraging Amanda to go to Jason1's reality to save him from Jason2, Ryan1 would tell her what Jason2 has been doing in Jason1's original realm. Amanda has exactly two ampules of the medicine, hence Ryan 1 can accompany her and go back to his own universe.
Dark Matter Compelling Drama from Apple TV+
Blake Crouch developed Dark Matter, a sci-fi drama-thriller TV series for Apple TV+ based on his same-named novel. The show centers on a physicist kidnapped and transported into an other dimension where he sees one possible route his life might have taken. But he discovers that this other version of himself puts his family's life under danger.
The great performances of cast members drive Apple TV+'s Dark Matter's gripping drama in addition to interesting sci-fi ideas. Viewers and critics of the show have drawn attention to the evolution and future of the plot, therefore generating curiosity in these aspects.
How Ryan 1 and Amanda's Return Would Perfectly Set Up Dark Matter Season 2
The ending of Dark Matter episode 7 already suggests a mind-boggling shock, implying that many more different Jason incarnations will show in the finale. Should the Apple TV+ show also feature Amanda and Ryan 1's comeback in the season 1 finale, it will not have enough time to fully conclude the narratives of every character in one episode. Furthermore noteworthy is Ryan and Amanda's lack of importance in the original Blake Crouch Dark Matter book as compared to on the show.
In the book's last arc, both characters are finally dropped and their fates remain dubious. The Apple TV+ show is already opening the path for an expansion of the knowledge and worldbuilding of the original book by elevating them more in its overall narrative. While Dark Matter season 1 will only have time to sow the seeds for this narrative growth, Season 2 might investigate all the floodgates of possibilities that might arise in a universe.
The end of Dark Matter season 1 is planned to show on Apple TV+, on June 19, 2024.
