Eddie Diaz Returns in 9-1-1 Season 8
Eddie Diaz by Ryan Guzman has a fresh look for the forthcoming 9-1-1 season. Eddie will be sporting a mustache in the upcoming season, according a behind-the-scenes video uploaded on Kenneth Choi's Instagram. Choi and Guzman are shown in the video having Choi gently mocking Guzman about his new appearance. The caption accompanying the video said, " disclaimer: no actors were actually harmed during the filming of this."
What might one expect in Season 8?
9-1-1 is still a hit even though Fox discontinued it several years ago. After its cancelation, ABC fast brought the show back on schedule, and season 7 ran rather successfully. The finale of Season 7 drew around 10 million viewers, which prompted a quick renewal of Season 8, set to start on Thursday, September 26.
Eddie's Personal Battles
Feeling unhappy by Eddie's emotional affair, Eddie's son Christopher departed to live with his grandparents in Texas at the end of season 7. Eddie finds himself in a tough situation at the beginning of season 8, most likely resulting in narratives examining his relationship with Christopher and his wife, Marisol. Like Shannon Diaz's unexpected arrival in season 7, the upcoming season might also include surprise cameos.
Other Major Characters
Apart from Eddie, season eight will highlight other significant personalities. With Maddie's comeback to the program following her horrific event last season, Angela Bassett's Athena and Jennifer Love Hewitt's Maddie will remain rather well. Buck, who found himself at a crossroads in the season 7 finale, is set to have a huge narrative in the next one. Given most of the actors returning, season 8's cast list should resemble season 7.
The heart of 9-1-1
Designed by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear, 9-1-1 examines the daily high-stress events experienced by first responders—including police, firefighters, and dispatchers. As these emergency responders negotiate their personal life while saving others, the show highlights their struggles and victories. Inspired by first responders' real-life experiences, 9-1-1 provides a window into the erratic, demanding, and frequently inspirational universe of people who commit their lives to helping others.
