Based on previous updates, genshin impact natlan release date predictions
Although Natlan's precise release date in Genshin Impact is unknown, one can estimate a period during which the new area will be included to the game. Arriving sixth among the Nations of Teyvat, Natlan boasts Pyro as its reigning element. As HoYoverse revealed in its post-release calendar, Natlan has been mentioned a few times before and is expected to make appearance in 2024. Still, its release date is yet unknown. Right now, the main emphasis is still on the additions to the game following Fontaine's launch.

Neuvillette Revealed Further Information About Natlan in Genshin Impact
Following the battle against the All-Devouring Narwhal and the chat with Skirk in Genshin Impact, the Hydro Dragon Sovereign, Neuvillette, revealed the knowledge about Natlan. The place surfaced in a discussion as the Traveler prepared to leave Fontaine and travel to the next area in order to keep looking for their sister. Although Neuvillette did brush over some already known details, he provided more insight on what players might expect upon arriving at Natlan. Still, it might be a few weeks before gamers can enter Pyro's territory.
When Natlan Is Added To Genshin Impact ( Release Date Predicts For Pyro Region)
Although Natlan does not yet have a clear release date since the material itself is probably still under development, one can estimate when HoYoverse intends to premiere it. Natlan's release is most likely related to Genshin Impact 5.0, but that does not always mean the game will run all the way through Version 4.9 before approaching the major annual update. Actually, the title basically skipped Version 3.9 in preparation for Fontaine's release in Version 4.0, thus similar behavior can arise in the current year of content. HoYoverse also skipped Version 2.9 prior to launching Version 3.0 and Sumeru.
Based on this, one can forecast that Natlan's release date via Version 5.0 will be August 28, 2024, following a regular six-week schedule between Genshin Impact updates. Naturally, this is if Version 4.9 is removed from the rotation since the most recent x.9 patches have not occurred. This also takes into account the fact that the game's updates won't suffer any delays; since Version 2.7, there have been no content delays; ever since then, the game has been consistently and fastly receiving new patches every six weeks.
Additionally in line with most of the major annual updates for Genshin Impact is Natlan's projected August 2024 release date. Fontaine's release in Version 4.0 came on August 14, while Sumeru's inclusion via Version 3.0 came on August 24, 2022. They always fall in the Summer. Based on past releases and the game's calendar, Natlan's August 28, 2024 release date appears to be the most accurate estimate even if it is currently impossible to precisely ascertain.
For comparison with the expected release of Natlan and a clearer knowledge of HoYoverse's calendar so far, the list below highlights the release date of every Nation of Teyvat thus far:
September 28, 2020: Mondstadt - Version 1.0
Liyue - Version 1.1 ( November 11, 2020 )
Inazuma - Version 2.0 (July 21, 2021)
August 24, 2022 - Sumeru Version 3.0
Fontaine 4.0 (Aug. 14, 2023)
The only exception is Inazuma's release with Version 2.0, which arrived on July 21, 2021; but, that was before Version 2.7 and its delay, which pushed back all next updates.
A recent statement made by the developer supports Natlan's official arrival on August 28, 2024: The Version 5.0 livestream on August 16 will show in an official post made on the official Genshin Impact profile on X (formerly Twitter). Two weeks from now is before August 28. Although the game's livestreams usually happen on Fridays, two weeks before the actual patch, the new livestream might be a means of highlighting the relevance of Version 5.0 among other regular updates. August 28 also marks the end of the six-week period designated for Version 4.8. Unless there are any delays to the usual timetable, each patch typically lasts six weeks before the next update is introduced.
Story Notes Regarding Natlan in Genshin Impact
In Genshin Impact, Natlan is Teyvat, the Nation governed by the element of Pyro. As had already been established and subsequently underlined by Neuvillette's speech at the conclusion of the Archon Quests in Version 4.2, Natlan is also a Nation of War and one that is always beset by the strife that results from there. Neuvillette's intelligence indicates that The Captain, the Fatui Harbinger, is involved in the conflicts in Natlan and "thrown his hat into the nation's endless ring of war." Still unknown exactly what this means.
Still, given the Snezhnayan group's current methods and ongoing attempts to penetrate Nations, one can hypothesize a little bit about what is going on. Once more, the Fatui Harbingers in Genshin Impact will start internal strife and increase the faction's imperialistic reach over foreign countries. This is also probably a scheme to get the Gnosis from the Pyro Archon as demanded by the Tsaritsa.
Apart from the Fatui's possible support of a proxy war, other specifics about Natlan surfaced during a conversation with Neuvillette at the conclusion of Version 4.2's main Archon Quests, sometimes referred to as the "Finale." Neuvillette claims Natlan is a dragon territory. These species, though smaller life forms, they are not the elemental dragons like Neuvillette or Apep in Genshin Impact. HoYoverse has lately verified these species, which are known as Saurians. Though it is unknown to what degree, these Saurians seem to show elemental affinity.
Players will be able to use the Saurians as mounts during exploration; they are reported to be able to traverse land, water, even lava. They are supposed to be more like vishaps, which Liyue encounters, for example. The dragons in Natlan have developed and learnt to live alongside humans, maybe including elements of the tribes that build the social fabric of the region. Natlan is supposed to be found past the Great Red Sand, west of Sumeru. The game also notes that the strong volcanic activity in the area produced several hot springs at Natlan.
It is hinted from the brief teaser trailer introducing these new characters that there will be a grand tournament in Natlan, maybe determining the fate of the whole country. Naturally, this is supposed to line up with the Traveler's arriving. Leaks hint that Natlan's central volcano contains something secret, maybe what Mavuika is seen conversing in a dark chamber in the trailer.
Character Natlan in Genshin Impact
Natlan is known to have had at least two Pyro Archons, one of which Murata is named for. Though her exact position is unknown, she is also known as the Lady of Fire; in fact, Murata's status was a secret over 1,000 years. The most current Pyro Archon leaks in Genshin Impact provide more specifics regarding the claimed design of the character. Rumor has it that Brazilian Carnival dancers inspired the character's wardrobe.
Along with sporting a Carnival-style mask and a red suit with a bowtie, this character is reported to have white skin, gradient-orange hair, and red eyes. It is unclear at the moment if this leaked character design refers to Murata or the other unidentified Pyro entity briefly mentioned in the lore; most likely, it is the design of the current ruler of the Pyro Archon and, given how they were described, it is possible that the Traveler and Paimon will meet with them in the narrative.
This leaked design seems to match up, partially, with the design seen on the official reveal of Mavuika, one of the many confirmed Natlan characters in Genshin Impact. Though there is still discussion as to whether or not she is the Pyro Archon personally, she is presented as the leader of the Nation of Pyro. In addition to Mavuika, HoYoverse has showcased a large portion of the upcoming playable roster, to be released starting in Version 5.0 and progressing through the game's next year of content.
Kinich, Mualani, and Kachina were the first three formally shown characters. Kinich and Mualani are rumored to be 5-star Dendro and Hydro units, respectively, while leaks say Kachina is a 4-star Geo character. These three are also the first three Natlan characters to be added with Version 5.0, as exemplified in the official livestream announcement and a series of teasers that were made on the official account on X. Their kits and other new gameplay details about Natlan should be confirmed during the livestream, but there are leaks mentioning new Night Spirit mechanics.
In addition to these three, HoYoverse has also announced Citlali, Xilonen, Iansan, Chasca, Mavuika, Capitano, and Ororon. These seven other characters, if they all become playable, should be added in patches after Version 5.0. There is a chance that Capitano may not become playable, considering he is an antagonist, and HoYoverse has only made anti-heroes playable in Genshin Impact – Childe, Wanderer, and Arlecchino have evil connections, but are not necessarily evil, per si.
Other than the smaller pieces of trivia spread across Teyvat and the recent revelations by Neuvillette, little else is known about Natlan so far. If previous years are any indication, leaks about this new region of Teyvat should start to intensify over the next few months as HoYoverse starts to gear up for the release of Natlan. More official information about the land of Pyro should also be shared as the game progresses, and it grows closer to Genshin Impact 5.0.
