Willa Fitzgerald in "The Fall of the House of Usher": She's Great, but You Need to Watch Her Horror Show
You might recognize Willa Fitzgerald as Roscoe Conklin, from the amazing series, "Reacher" - and, yeah, she was really good! But did you know, she was super awesome in another horror show called "The Fall Of The House Of Usher"? It’s kind of a dark retelling of Edgar Allan Poe’s creepy tale, but in a modern way. If you love creepy stuff, you really need to see this.
Did Willa Fitzgerald Really Play A Lead In The "The Fall of the House of Usher" ?
- She totally did! But it's a little different than "Reacher." In "The Fall of the House of Usher," Willa plays Madeline Usher - that’s the super cunning, maybe even twisted CEO. Her brother is at the center of the story, and it’s all connected to a bunch of scary incidents happening to their family, and some wild, super secret stuff they've kept hidden since childhood.
- The character was one of the most essential! It's not like they show her a ton - but, the "big bad things" in the story come from her character. It's super important to figuring out what's really happening.
So what does this horror series have to do with Willa Fitzgerald?
- She is actually a perfect fit for the creepy world of "The Fall of the House of Usher." You've got those flashback scenes from when Madeline was young. You could say that her character was crucial in the entire series! The whole series has an amazing cast! There's Bruce Greenwood, Carla Gugino, Kate Siegel - just tons of talent!
- So you might wonder - what else does Willa have to do with this show? Well, it's more than just the acting skills! There are these amazing scenes that highlight how she's super powerful, and that made Madeline stand out - a character with that type of complexity and intrigue. But now you're gonna see her play the part of a person who's kinda secretive and her morals aren’t exactly the best, especially as the CEO who seems to be messing everything up. She plays both characters to perfection!
- If you like horror series, especially those by Mike Flanagan ("The Haunting of Hill House" and "Midnight Mass"), you are gonna want to check out "The Fall of the House of Usher". It's full of dark, suspense, and scary stuff. And it really gives those Netflix Horror Series that "chills-down-the-spine" feeling.
