Mark Hamill Is Back: A New Look at the LEGO Star Wars Galaxy
Get ready for some awesome Star Wars action, but in a totally unexpected way! That's right - the LEGO universe is getting a new spin-off, called "Rebuild the Galaxy." And if that's not enough for you, it's even got Mark Hamill reprising his role as the one and only Luke Skywalker!
The new four-episode TV miniseries drops on Disney+ on September 13th and will have us rolling with laughter from the first scene. It tells the crazy story of Sig Greebling (who you might know as the adorable actor, Gaten Matarazzo!), a lovable dude who kinda, sorta accidentally breaks the whole Star Wars galaxy. That's right. Broken. In Lego-fied pieces. This mess means the other heroes and rebels (like Luke!) will have to join together to fix his gigantic mistake, but not before seeing how this one goof-up totally throws a wrench in the universe.
Luke Skywalker Gets a Beachy Makeover
Don’t worry – even though the galaxy has basically broken, “Rebuild the Galaxy” doesn't forget all those classic characters. This series even takes those fan-made theories and gives them some serious air time! If you're one of those diehard "Darth Jar Jar Binks" fanatics, you're gonna love the crazy adventures that unfold. Luke Skywalker is just trying to chill and make sandcastles with this whole "dark" universe messing things up.
The trailer is full of fun stuff. Get ready to see some unlikely combinations: Ewoks on the hunt for bounties, Admiral Ackbar's super cool clones, and even Darth Jar Jar, back with an evil, lightsaber-wielding force! You'll even find some Star Wars classics reimagined – the "The Phantom Menace" poster, but with Jar Jar in the spotlight. I mean, who needs Anakin anyway, when you've got Jar Jar! Plus, this is your chance to catch Darth Rey, another fan theory that got spun out of "The Rise of Skywalker". It's like that movie, but on a smaller scale (it's not Canon, you see) – imagine all the wacky possibilities in the Lego universe.
A Whole Bunch of Star Wars Legends, Back to Save the Galaxy (and Make Us Laugh)
This is no ordinary Star Wars movie! You know all those classic characters we love? Like Princess Leia, Han Solo, all those awesome rebels who make the galaxy feel complete? Well, “Rebuild the Galaxy" has those awesome folks all ready to help clean up the mess. But in true Lego-form – the characters are full of unexpected moments of silliness and funny scenarios. It's more "hilarious chaos" than a tense "war for the fate of the galaxy!" kind of feel.
The whole trailer gives us a hint of what those legendary characters will be getting into. Remember C-3PO, that golden robot who never stopped whining? Well, they made him a bounty hunter – how could you resist that combo?! The writers really took those iconic characters and gave them this fresh spin. If they continue to go all-in with that unique brand of LEGO humor, then we’ll definitely be rolling with laughter.
Jar Jar Gets to Finally Become The Villain We All Knew He Was
If there was ever one fan theory in the history of Star Wars that really got the internet buzzing - it was the "Darth Jar Jar Binks" theory. The rumor that the “not-so-bright” Gungan character was actually a master puppeteer pulling strings from behind the scenes – all while pretending to be a harmless klutz! So they're taking that fan-made lore and making it a part of “Rebuild the Galaxy". And it gets even more interesting because it's Ahmed Best, who voiced Jar Jar in the prequels who’s reprising his role. It’s almost like that whole Jar Jar/Darth Jar Jar theory has always been part of the LEGO universe!
You've got to appreciate this. “Rebuild the Galaxy” has that whole "what-if" vibe that’s become a signature of those creative Lego projects – the kind that let’s the Star Wars universe go bonkers. It’s like "oh yeah, what if Luke Skywalker just wasn’t so serious and all that 'Chosen One' stuff" and let’s him chill on the beach while all the action went down?
Welcome Back to The Galaxy: It’s Going to Be Hilarious!
We’re all pretty excited to see this Lego movie, it sounds hilarious. It's basically a whole new kind of Star Wars fun, the type of experience where those legendary heroes and villains become a bit more zany.
The Lego Universe is a lot like a place where all the stories get to go a little crazy! Get ready to see Luke Skywalker hanging out with Jar Jar and some surprising pairings like Rey (as a possible villain, who knows?) and more! You can bet there will be plenty of funny scenes and memorable moments to get you all amped up for September! Don't worry - if you’re not a hardcore fan of Lego Star Wars - there's still plenty of humor for everyone to enjoy. If you're looking for something funny, action-packed, and unexpected - "Rebuild the Galaxy” will have something special for you!
