Season 2, Release Date Confirmed!
The release date? It's officially September 4, 2024. Just think, two brand-new episodes on September 4th, followed by a new episode each week – perfect for an early September binge sesh! Hulu already said those two premiere episodes were the ones they’d be most excited to see released! The series has been on the hold since late 2022 (blame it on all the craziness with those big Hollywood strikes), but thankfully, production wrapped earlier in 2024, giving everyone enough time to catch up before season 2 drops.
That Season 2 Cast
It looks like all those amazing characters will be back. We're talking Grace Van Patten (Lucy), Catherine Missal (Bree), and Sonia Mena (Pippa). If the clues in the “Behind-the-Scenes” pics and snippets from the trailer mean anything, Jackson White will be back as Stephen - that intense dude who caused a whole lot of trouble. But get this – Tom Ellis is also joining the Cast! He’s been a popular figure since he was playing Lucifer in the Netflix series. This time, though, he’ll be stepping into a different role as the not-so-likeable Oliver at Baird College – someone who’s about to create a lot of problems in their drama-filled semester.
They've also announced a few other people returning as the series characters like Natalie Linez as Lydia, Branden Cook as Evan, Alicia Crowder as Diana, Edmond Donovan as Max, and Benjamin Wadsworth as Drew.
Expect More Twisted Plots in Season 2!
Those of you who thought Season 1's relationships were already messed up – buckle your seatbelts, because this next season’s drama is set to go into overdrive. We know the first season focused on those intense first few years of Lucy’s wild, messy relationship with Stephen in college. Now, it’s about to get a lot more interesting, especially with those super tricky situations in the 2015 timeline. We saw that Stephen’s already promised to Lydia and we are dying to find out what went down to cause that relationship to develop. Oh, and remember how Stephen was totally playing Diana by the end of Season 1? Guess what? It’s not going to be smooth sailing! A major revenge-seeking mission could be in store for Lucy.

That whole vibe of “Head Will Roll,” the song that’s playing, just makes the drama extra-real. So what have we got so far? Lucy, she's back, and she's looking extra fierce with those emotion scars from Stephen's craziness. She’s ready for a revenge-seeking showdown! It’s kind of a “I’ll show him” thing but more with a super-charged dose of hurt feelings. That scene of Lucy making out with Drew feels very suggestive of what's to come! And you’ve got all those hot, messy relationships that will keep you watching to see what goes down.
Get Ready For Season 2 of Tell Me Lies!
They might have gone from “innocent” college students to an entanglement of complicated love lives, with tons of emotional mayhem in the mix. We already know how big those unintentional shocking moments can be for the Cast.
But get this, the Story could be headed in a completely different direction with that new “Baird College” atmosphere. Maybe all that emotional intensity is just going to morph into an intense game of love and betrayal where all these characters find new, interesting, and probably complicated, ways to get what they want.
