Things get crazy. It looks like the big villain, Mephisto is not going to be fully stopped. A new physical avatar surfaces for everyone. Mephisto, himself hasn't been able to escape from that soulstone but the Harbinger of Hatred, a truly evil and mighty presence who has now taken shape to face you and those on your side.

Get ready, this battle in Mephisto's Domain is one you will never forget. If anything, this has major significance, you rely completely on Akarat. A character that will be essential to win and the mighty Golden Lion form of Akarat's spirit unleashes everything to bring the Harbinger of Hatred down, as well. This leaves just Akarat injured but not dead. Then, an emotionally charged scene occurs where Neyrelle offers thanks before witnessing Akarat's ascension into the spirit world! But even at death's door, Akarat gives a promising hint that we might see him again and brings out many unanswered questions and hope for players for the next chapter in the Diablo 4 series!

Eru's Betrayal

This is a story of betrayal and loss! It also looks to explain some really deep events for those of you who enjoy these types of games!

Eru was a big ally in your battle but some viewers might notice some things are not so clear as you would find out.

  • He cared deeply about Nahantu, his home!
  • And his feelings toward Neyrelle were especially apparent and not in a good way. He showed incredible hatred. This character hates her even more since she brought that soulstone into his home!

His decision at the end isn't surprising! In fact, it really was an incredibly memorable twist! Eru would do whatever he could to keep Nahantu safe at any cost.

After your fight against Mephisto he went on a quest to finish the rest of his mission by secretly placing that soulstone inside Akarat's Tomb before finding the player and Neyrelle, truly in sorrow about what happened and wished to die.
