The Silent Hill 2 Remake is finally here! For fans of this terrifying game, there are plenty of puzzles to solve and chilling mysteries to uncover as James travels to Silent Hill. But one puzzle early on really tests players' abilities to find hidden objects!
Neely's Bar Jukebox Puzzle
At the beginning of the game, you will enter Neely's Bar, a dark and creepy spot that looks a bit run-down. It offers a save point, but more interestingly is that this is the first time players get to attempt the Jukebox Puzzle. The jukebox has a sheet over it, hiding it at first. It turns out the jukebox is broken! What you find is that some components are missing to even get the jukebox working, making this quite a compelling puzzle that gives the most veteran Silent Hill players some difficulty.
- A broken vinyl record.
- A missing button (number two).
- A missing coin.
You will get a note in the bar, telling you where these items could be found! It seems this note explains that someone broke the jukebox and it was probably someone "drunk". This may give players a hint at who you might be searching for!
Finding the Missing Jukebox Parts
You are going to explore Silent Hill. But for now, the puzzle clues that you find really provide hints and you will have to make your way around town. Starting from Neely's Bar, you may make your way to two places! First, you can start by going to Saul Street Apartments. The buildings have been really beaten up by the elements and getting your way around requires a bit of finesse. You can push around objects in your path, or you may have to make your way through other places, but remember there are monsters and insects.
Saul Street Apartments
Be ready for a fright!
You will have to do a bit of exploration! Eventually you can head through various doors into the apartments, making your way to the Apartment 5 section. Once you are inside you are not just able to collect things such as keys and notes that can really help! What makes it a lot more exciting? There's more to see when you go through some openings in walls to the Apartment 9 area, allowing players a chance to see more! This provides access through a window! Once you do all of this hard work to find it, there's another place you're going to have to find things!
Groovy Music
For another bit of excitement, you are making your way back through the street toward Groovy Music! This location offers clues as well. A note that explains even more information, and something important, but mostly hints for the vinyl glue that is around! You are making your way to this specific room and then grabbing this needed item will allow you to repair the record. You have a final, necessary item left.
Texan Cafe
Once again, a "coin" is what is left! It seems there's no rest in Silent Hill. So make sure to find the final needed "coin." It looks like there are plenty of monsters as you explore your environment! A stop by the Texan Cafe and that means looking in their cash register is what is going to be needed. But keep a watch out for all those monsters!
Putting it all Together
You finally got your missing parts! Now it's time to put it all together.
When you are back at the jukebox, combine those items and insert the items into the correct spots!
- Select the record.
- The missing number two button
- Then a coin.
It all starts when you select the correct button (it's going to be C)! You will be taken on a journey through a memory about James' wife! It unfortunately looks like you may not get to continue to listen but this leads you toward a final item! That is a key. This key is used at the end! Once you find a "cart you can climb on it. From there, use it to get to an "open window!" The ending might be short lived but provides players more of Silent Hill to explore!
There’s so much more in Silent Hill 2 Remake. Even the most well-versed players have something more to see. Make sure to give the puzzle a go to discover some secrets! The puzzle isn't just a good way to kick off the game, it also provides players a little something to enjoy! Be prepared as Silent Hill's terror is sure to have plenty more surprises!
