Wolverine, the iconic Marvel character, is known for his brutal fights and near-invulnerability, thanks to his Healing Factor! But what happens when his foes' healing powers become a real problem? A new weapon brings about the perfect solution in a shocking, bloody way.
Wolverine's New Weapon
In Wolverine: Revenge #2, we see Wolverine go on an epic quest! After his deadliest foes took out Captain America and Bucky, he's out for revenge. The action really ramps up when Wolverine teams up with Forge. Forge designs an awesome new motorcycle! This bike has a secret weapon: a built-in power neutralizer in the headlamp! The headlamp negates healing factors which makes all kinds of things possible.
The Deadly Confrontation
This powerful device is put to the test with his classic rival, Sabretooth! Wolverine finds his nemesis and their confrontation starts to really ramp up!
- Sabretooth attacks with everything he has.
- Wolverine gets a lucky hit and stabs Sabretooth!
- Sabretooth is shocked when his wounds won't heal! He knows what happened!
It turns out, the power neutralizer zapped his healing abilities! But the really interesting element to this all was that this meant that Wolverine now had Sabretooth totally at his mercy, finally getting bloody revenge.
The Muramasa Blade and Wolverine's Rivalries
Fans might know about these types of weapons! Wolverine's biggest triumphs are because he took out Sabretooth's healing ability. If you go back in time to 2007 in the comics Wolverine: Evolution, from Jeph Loeb and Simone Bianchi. You'd know this. He did the trick with the legendary Muramasa Blade, a super powerful sword from lore that helped negating healing factors.
What's important is Wolverine's classic Weapon made the ultimate revenge possible. The sword itself, which slices on a molecular level is so deadly!
The Deadliest Villain- Deadpool
Now with Sabretooth out of the way, Wolverine has other scores to settle! And one villain he must overcome is another amazing figure Deadpool.
But is this the end of the line? While Sabretooth is now permanently down for the count! The fact that Wolverine uses Forge's power neutralizer should mean that any villains he plans to defeat will face their downfall at the hands of this great hero. It is still unknown if Deadpool will fall.
However, this comic really leaves audiences with a sense that Wolverine's adventures might only grow! The Weapon used might just usher in some truly powerful storytelling for many issues to come.
