The Rings of Power, a Amazon series set in Middle-earth, keeps fans guessing about what might happen next. The series has already given us some memorable heroes and villains but Theo (played by Tyroe Muhafidin) remains a real mystery!
The Mystery Of Theo
Theo’s journey is what makes him so interesting. From discovering a mysterious sword, dealing with the loss of his mother, and having moments with some of the big name characters, Arondir (played by Ismael Cruz Córdova), Galadriel (played by Morfydd Clark), and Isildur (played by Maxim Baldry), he is poised to be someone significant in this Amazon Prime series!
Theo As A Future Nazgûl:
A big fan theory is that Theo could end up becoming a Nazgûl! There are a lot of hints pointing to it.
- He seems drawn to power and even shows interest in Sauron's (played by Charlie Vickers) dark side!
- He has the iconic Orc Sigil Hilt sword which brings back the eruption of Mount Doom!
- The sword even marks Theo further adding to the theory of him being controlled by Sauron!
There is a lot more evidence that makes Theo's destiny apparent! He even appears to have a connection between the light and dark side!
- His mom, Bronwyn tried to help him stay in the light!
- Her passing meant a very difficult point!
- This left Theo seeking power.
- His ability to protect everyone has been emphasized.
There is so much potential, so much detail as Theo rises as a leader, he is thrust into a powerful position.
- Arondir even made Theo the "Lord of Pelargir!"
- It gives him control of an important area but that isn't all!
His ability to rule makes him ripe for getting targeted and getting a Ring of Power.
He keeps going into places, where there's so much power to change this world!
- Tirhard went on to be Mordor.
- Pelargir was controlled by Numenor, which meant three of Sauron's Nazgûl came from this same place.
- Galadriel even gave Theo her sword!
This adds up! This makes Theo an ultimate choice to be controlled by the rings!
Theo As The Founder Of Rohan:
There’s a chance that Theo is meant for great things and that includes creating Rohan! Many believe there is a tie and that even the names hint to what the future may hold. Fans look at Théoden, a king of Rohan, along with his son Théodred!
- Then there's a comparison between Bronwyn and Eowyn.
- Theo's story seems to have some remarkable ties to Isildur (who founded Gondor).
This may suggest some alliance or signal station development which existed between Rohan and Gondor later.
- Arondir used alfirin seeds (simbelmynë) which bring forth blooms in Rohan. This adds to Theo's mother’s loss and what this will signify.
Which Theory Is More Likely?
While there is support for both. One is backed by more evidence!
Becoming a Nazgûl looks to be more likely based on his motivations and what he desires!
- His role in Tirharad's destruction!
- His want for redemption.
- His connection to both light and darkness.
The Rohan theory has fun ideas!
- There is similarity in names.
- The idea of Theo being tied to Isildur.
- The use of healing seeds that look like the plants at the graves.
Even a third possibility may exist, such as being "King of the Dead!"
Ultimately, his character seems destined for a dark ending. The history around the Nazgûl in Tolkien is a bit of a mystery, so having Theo as a Nazgûl might even bring clarity about those questions!
This mysterious and compelling series that gives audiences amazing characters with compelling stories leaves you wondering what will occur next!
