Love Triangle of Hierarchy: Where Does Jae-i End Up? [Spoilers]

The Long History Together of Hierarchy's Jae-i and Ri-an

From the time they were six years old, Jae-i and Ri-an have been pals. Jae-i said, Ri-an told her when they were young that he had been in love with her since their first meeting. Being the heirs of two of the richest families in South Korea, Jae-i and Ri-an grew up together and always hung out in the same locations. Before they were boyfriend and girlfriend, one could presume they were best friends. This is the reason Jae-i never stopped loving Ri-an despite all that transpired in Hierarchy.

The horrific experience Jae-i went through regarding the pregnancy was the only reason she broke up with Ri-an as soon as she came back from the United States. Shortly after learning she was pregnant, Jae-i opted not to tell Ri-an what happened—she experienced a miscarriage. Ri-an thought he had done something wrong, or that Jae-i was now popular someone else. When he at last finds the truth, Ri-an sees Jae-i's deeds and cannot forgive himself for not being with her during such a trying time.

Jae-i Beginning To Feelings For Kang Ha In Hierarchy

Though Jae-i broke up with Ri-an due of her secret, she began to feel something for Kang Ha. Although Ri-an changed her at the end of the K-drama for retribution, he was clearly implicated in bullying Kang In-han. This drove Jae-i farther away from him, particularly given she and In-han were getting close before the latter passed away. Envy over his friendship with Jae-i drove Ri-an let his pals harass In-han, implying their relationship had always been somewhat poisonous.

Jae-i might have developed feelings for In-han's brother between Ri-an's acts toward her and Kang Ha's attempt to improve the university. She and Kang Ha kissed at the end of episode 1 and stayed close throughout the rest of the show to create a typical K-drama Love Triangle with plenty of stakes. Originally approaching Jae-i so he could get near to Ri-an, Kang Ha developed feelings for her. Once Kang Ha found he liked Jae-i, whose role in In-han's killing was unknown, his retribution grew much more problematic.

Hierarchy, a Netflix drama series, emphasizes the intricate relationships among the production's characters. Some well-known people on the show's cast will most likely grab viewers' interest. It also boasts several original characters that can appeal especially to many.

Jae-i At The End Of Hierarchy Is Not Dating Anyone

At the end of Hierarchy season 1, Jae-i decided not to exact revenge on Ri-an. Jae-i realized they had to sort out their life before committing to a relationship even as they rebuilt and reinforced their affections for each other. Before trying to make their relationship work once more, Jae-i thinks both of them still have many problems they have to address first. Still, Jae-si obviously still loves Ri-an quite passionately. Ri-an was the only thing she wanted to guard all through, she informed Kang Ha.

Soon after bidding farewell to Ri-an, Jae-i encountered Kang Ha, who assumed she was returning to New York. Happy to find Jae-i would be staying in Korea, Kang Ha told her he loved her. Since she had just patched things out with Ri-an, Jae-i was in a tough spot. Though Jae-i reportedly still harbours unresolved emotions for Kang Ha, who claimed he fell in love with her while looking at his brother's death. Hierarchy ends, therefore, with Jae-i returning to her mother.

Who Will Jae-in Choose in Hierarchy? Ri-an Or Kang Ha

Should Hierarchy season 2 materialize, given the cliffhanger conclusion of the program, it will reopen the Love Triangle featuring Jae-i and the two characters in love with her. It cannot be completely ruled out. The ending of Hierarchy reveals that someone is coming for Ri-an; while the Kang Ha reveal may have been a fakeout, the truth is that those two are not on friendly terms. Ri-an tried to apologies, but Kang Ha was naturally not ready for it. In a possible season 2, Kang Ha might still be rivals even though he is not the one menacing Ri-an.

Now that Jae-i has chosen to live with her mother instead of her father's house, it is unknown whether she will keep visiting the Jooshin Academy. Should Jae-i go back to school, she will have to continuously engage with Ri-an and Kang Ha, this time under the fresh murder mystery. While Kang Ha is the person Jae-i bonded strongly with on the show, Ri-an was her first love. Hierarchy does not always need a second season as Jae-i chose neither of them and concentrated on herself would have been a perfect ending.

Having said that, the killer of another student—this time on the grounds of the university—is too large for a cliffhanger for the K-drama not to resurface. A phenomena that has grown very prevalent, it would not be the first time a limited series ran for more seasons. Among all the Hierarchy characters, Jae-i is the one whose ending seemed more in line with the course of events in her story. Hopefully, regardless of who she ends up with, her character growth won't be lost when Hierarchy season 2 transpires.
