Directed by Takashi Sano, the well-known American TV show Rick and Morty has an Anime version. With its stylized anime universe and fresh cultural subtleties, the series—which examines new experiences between the eccentric scientist Rick and his easily affected grandson Morty—has already enthralled viewers. Everybody's first concern is whether there will be a second season.
Executive producer of Rick and Morty: The Anime James De Marco discussed the prospect of a second season in a recent interview. De Marco admitted the possibility for further episodes even though he did not confirm a renewal. He said, "We didn't make this with the thought that, okay, now we can keep doing a different kind of Rick and Morty permanently. However, if the response is sufficient and people truly enjoy it, then we all had a great time on the project and Adult Swim loves it. So I believe that everything is feasible. Like everything these days, it will rely on how good this season performs. We would thus be really glad if this is it as, although we would be truly happy to do more, we are rather pleased with what we have done. And that will be up to Adult Swim and the fans.
Fans have debated about the English dub of Rick and Morty: The Anime's choice to have a different cast than the original show. "The reason we didn't use the original cast is because the original cast is already busy working on the flagship show, and we frankly wanted to really lean into the idea that this is not the same Rick and Morty just drawn differently," James De Marco said. This is distinct Rick and Morty. Sano himself created this Rick and Morty, which has his unique spin.
Director of Rick and Morty: The Anime Takashi Sano brings to the series his own vision and aesthetic. With Sano's creative touch adding additional components to the well-known characters and their escapades, the anime presents a different view of Rick and Morty. This strategy lets the anime build out its own identity as both a new point of access for newcomers and a complement for current fans.
Whether Rick and Morty: The Anime gets a second season or not will mostly rely on its performance. Future of the show depends on audience desire from Adult Swim as well as viewing count. The great success of the franchise guarantees that a renewal is definitely within reach, but for now fans will have to wait and observe how the show is accepted.
