Disney Plus' Biggest Success - The Mandalorian - Needs Season 4
Listen, everyone loves The Mandalorian. This show's been Disney+ rockstar since the platform first launched, making a ton of money, giving people “Baby Yoda" to oooh-and-ahhh over and being one of the first big original shows on Disney+. This show’s practically the face of Disney+ – it's what brought in thousands and thousands of new fans to the streaming service! And it’s doing better than all of Disney+'s other TV shows, including all of the Star Wars shows and all those cool Marvel shows, so that’s gotta say something about how successful The Mandalorian really is.
I know some of you might have been iffy about The Mandalorian Season 3, but it seems that folks still loved it – at least enough to make this show the most-watched original series on the entire streaming service! And that’s impressive, considering the huge variety of content Disney+ has. I can’t imagine them wanting to just say “nope” to Season 4 after those ratings, can you?
Why Disney Plus Needs The Mandalorian Season 4 (More Than We Think)
Think about it - The Mandalorian was like that golden ticket that kicked off the entire streaming service back in 2019. It’s basically the foundation that led to the launch of Disney+ and built its massive audience – like a bunch of Star Wars fans rushing to sign up to get more Mando! We know the show is big! Everyone remembers that adorable little green creature, Baby Yoda! Everyone loved watching those galactic adventures! We couldn’t get enough. Plus, all those awesome episodes that brought us those adventures are part of why The Mandalorian is still doing so great on Disney+ – it's practically their most important show!
Now Disney+ has a whole bunch of other awesome TV shows, even a few other Star Wars shows. And some of them have really awesome storylines – look at “Andor!” but none of them really reach the same level as The Mandalorian. So for Disney+, the question becomes – if they let go of Season 4, what else can they offer that would pull in the fans? Especially that gigantic fan base who loves Mando, Baby Yoda, and those space adventures! Disney+ needs that kind of powerhouse to stay on top – and let’s be honest, the rest of the shows haven’t got those numbers to replace it yet!
The Mandalorian: More Than Just A Show, A Whole Legacy!
Okay, so we’ve heard Disney+ needs Season 4, but what about Star Wars? Why does this show matter so much for the future of those intergalactic stories? Well, imagine Star Wars without The Mandalorian! Think about it – that little baby Yodafella was everywhere! The Mandalorian’s a big deal in the Star Wars universe! We’ve been obsessed with all those awesome storylines, like the big adventures that unfolded after the Empire’s fall, it was one wild ride, we didn’t even want it to end. We are talking serious devotion here.
Okay, so maybe “Andor” has been a big critical success. But that’s just one show, while The Mandalorian is kind of a game-changer. The Mandalorian was so great that even though some fans thought Season 3 wasn’t the best, the ratings proved they’re still crazy for the show! It shows just how invested they’ve gotten in this series. But, even though everyone's hooked, we’re getting this whole “The Mandalorian & Grogu Movie” announcement and now it's hard to know if a Season 4 will happen. It makes everyone wonder – how do you get those amazing space stories into movies? We'll have to wait and see how the filmmakers are planning to do this!
The Future of The Mandalorian: Is There Still a Chance?
Honestly, Disney+ and Star Wars need to get it together – the whole movie and season thing doesn’t really seem to make sense. No matter what happens, I’d still bet money that The Mandalorian will continue somehow – even if it means getting a Season 4 after we’ve seen those space adventures in a big-screen version. I think we'd need something major to change the plan – or something unexpected happen for those new adventures to come out of a Movie release!
But hey, we can’t go off the deep end just yet – We know The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda are a duo that can’t be stopped so we'll see how this unfolds. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the stories aren’t over, just maybe, maybe The Mandalorian Season 4 is going to be a reality, and it will just happen on a different platform!
