What's Happening With "The Princess and the Frog" Spin-Off Show?
You probably watched the classic animated movie back in 2009! But guess what? The story of "The Princess and the Frog" is being continued in a whole new TV show! Disney+ is making this amazing sequel.
Will the new show have a release date?
No set date yet, but Disney+ is making some super awesome things! It seems like it'll drop soon! Disney first hinted at the Show back in 2020. In 2021 they even dropped the first photo - super exciting!
Who's Making This Princess and the Frog Show?
- They aren't trying to just copy-paste the original! Joyce Sherri is in charge of this one, and they were even on the original Disney Princess and the Frog show, so it's gonna be a good one, and we already have those awesome Disney Animation studios on board! They did an incredible job in the first film, and this will probably be similarly awesome!
- It was a big deal! We got Tiana in the movie - now we get Tiana as the leader of a kingdom. Who doesn't love a powerful princess!
- Remember, they got Anika Noni Rose - that super famous voice artist from the first movie - to come back as Tiana! And she's going to be in the sequel! It is nice, seeing as those are some big shoes to fill, right?
Will They Bring Back The Magical Music?
- It might be a super long time between the two! If you loved those Disney Princess and the Frog tunes - they had the most iconic music and were super well done. Even got a bunch of awards - they won a Grammy, Best Music in a Movie - and an Academy Award Nomination! That was all thanks to Randy Newman, the awesome composer!
- Disney+ has this super fun tradition, right - making Disney sequels! Now the show is getting super hyped - I think that everyone is excited about how it will add to the Princess and the Frog story!
What Can We Expect From "Tiana's World"?
- That amazing, hardworking, "Princess and the Frog" character? This show is all about Tiana's journey - to understand that life can change and adapt to new things! She’s in this new magical adventure, now!
- The writers haven't given out too much about how the story's gonna work! But it does sound like the new show will even take us to Maldonia, this cool fictional kingdom from the first movie. I can't wait to see what kind of magic and adventure are in store for Tiana! This is an exciting time, considering we are fans of that amazing, magical Tiana restaurant.
- If you're excited for Disney animation movies you really want to make sure to catch the new show. We don't know for sure, but we might be seeing live-action versions of this whole story later. You never know what Disney might release next!
I am so pumped for the show - if you loved "The Princess and the Frog," this is a must-watch. Hopefully, it'll turn out to be just as fun and creative!
