Star Wars: Now genuinely horrific are the High Republic Villains.

One of the most perilous new leaders among the Nihil is Baron Boolan.

Arriving in Boolan's labs, Jedi Master Trennis and crew sought to rescue a young Force-sensitive girl taken prisoner by Baron's operatives. This led to a face-to--face meeting including the Baron personally as well as several of his dark experiments. Keeve and her fellow heroes thus soon discover that Baron is in charge of several of the most sinister Nihil agents and inventions, including the Children of the Storm.

Baron Boolan's main responsibilities as Marchion Ro's Minister of Advancement consist in two First, he seems to have accomplished by means of several cybernetic upgrades: make the Nameless considerably simpler for the Nihil to manage and also strengthen them. The other is to produce more Children of the Storm, a fresh faction of the Nihil who within the ranks of the marauders have shown themselves to be some of the most competent hunters and fighters.

Boolan's Dark Force Experiments Clarified

Since the marauders utilized the Force-eaters to demolish Starlight Beacon, the Nameless are among the Nihil's strongest weapons that have been effectively keeping the bulk of the Jedi Order at distance. Keeve and her fellow Jedi who disobeyed the will of the High Council to save any Jedi who would have become caught inside the Nihl's walled-off area of space known as the Occlusion Zone, including Keeve's old master Sskeer, have been the exception mostly. Marchion Ro would so naturally want Boolan to make the Nameless as strong as possible.

Still, Boolan's other major effort is Children of the Storm. Horrifically, the Children of the Storm are discovered to be Force-sensitives who have been caught, experimented upon, and then indoctrinated into serving both Boolan and the Nihil. As such, Boolan would have done horrible things to the young Yacombe girl his "Children" recently caught had the Jedi not arrive in time to save her in this new edition of The High Republic.

Star Wars Has Just Darkly Improved The Most Dangerous Villains Of The High Republic Era

Mysterious as they are harmful to Force sensitives such as the Jedi, the Force-eating carnivores known as the Nameless are under Marchion Ro's sway and his Nihil marauders. But Marvel Comics' High Republic series has verified that one of Ro's new ministers is working hard creating the Nameless even more terrible.

Since their introduction in Charles Soule's book Light of the Jedi, the Nihil have changed rather a lot. Their power has skyrocketed, and they are far more orderly than they were years before. This covers the fresh ministers appointed by Marchion Ro, including the Ithorical Baron Boolan. Acting as Ro's Minster of Advancement, the Baron's labs are exposed in the new High Republic #8 from Cavan Scott and Jim Towe, revealing a Nameless whose ability to paralyze even the strongest Jedi with fear-filled hallucinations while draining their life-force reduces them to nothing more than calcified husks.
