Willa poses another type of threat to the Dutton Ranch, this one more abstract and deadly one that cannot be resolved with a rattlesnake to the face as was the case with her colleague. In her last appearance, season 3, episode 10, "The World is Purple," Willa loses her job because of claims of misbehavior that seem to have been fabricatively generated by Beth. Willa poses another type of threat to the Dutton Ranch, this one more abstract and deadly one that cannot be resolved with a rattlesnake to the face as was the case with her coworker. Rather, Beth has followed the business game, wiping the Duttons of Willa the way white-collar workers are routinely let go.
Yellowstone: The Willa Hayes Character Clarified (& Where You'd Have Seen The Actor)
A recurring character in Yellowstone and eagle-eyed viewers may recall Willa Hayes (Karen Pittman) from some of her prior roles. Yellowstone and its numerous spinoffs might revolve on the generations of the Dutton family and their friends, but the guest stars and recurrent characters who show up in the episodes for brief but unforgettable arcs keep the franchise interesting. Many people have visited the Dutton Ranch, usually to help but more often to see whether they have an opportunity to inherit the rich acreage.
Willa Hayes of Market Equities is no different; the antagonists in Taylor Sheridan are equally fascinating as the central heroes. Introduced in season three is Fortune 500 business Market Equities. With aims as high as building an airport and a ski resort, this real estate corporation is trying to claim the Dutton Ranch and doesn't really care how it accomplishes it. Of course, John Dutton ( Kevin Costner) and his family stand in their path, but the CEO of the corporation shows to be a tough adversary.
Starred on The Morning Show and And Just Like That... Willa Hayes Actor Karen Pittman
Though she has a lot of television experience, Karen Pittman has also had a few noteworthy film parts including Mrs. Dismukes in Detroit and Sandy James in What We Do Next. Her television performances, meanwhile, are what have made her most identifiable. Pittman is most recognized for performing Dr. Nya Wallace in And Just Like That... and Mia Jordan on The Morning Show. Though each of these characters—like Willa—is quite intelligent—from honest with Nya, to ambitious with Mia, to frightening with Willa—they are all varied degrees of manipulating and dangerous.

Pittman has starred in The Americans as Lisa, Luke Cage as Priscilla Ridley, and she has had plenty of one-episode appearances in Law & Order, House of Cards, and Madam Secretary outside her most famous TV parts. Pittman's career has included some quite big franchises and productions now that Willa Hayes and Yellowstone are on her resume.
Willa was succeeded as CEO by Caroline Warner (Jacki Weaver), who also becomes a fierce rival in her own way.
Playing Willa with a royal and haughty air of power, Karen Pittman is superb in the part. She had great fun with the character as well, telling EW, "Although I auditioned, obviously, I don't believe they were definitely sure what it [the character Willa] was going to be like, and what it was going to be, and how we were going to execute it. They loved that character, though. They kept writing for me on that program as they loved the way the character was portrayed. It was also lots of fun as Taylor Sheridan writes unlike everyone else. Working with Kelly Reilly delighted me. It was fascinating coming in there and simply working with those actors and sort of establishing a different sort of space; they had never had any young Black folks on that show. Pittman is a force when she makes her Yellowstone debut, and the moment she meets Jamie makes it abundantly evident why Roarke and Market Equity called in the big guns. Simultaneously, she exhibits flaws in her character that would allow one to believe she could be beaten.
