Mana Views: All Playable Character Confirmed
There are five playable Characters in Visions of Mana, all with different backgrounds and default fighting styles. Val first and most importantly seems to be the main protagonist of Visions of Mana; she most surely matches the archetype. In the trailer, he defeats foes with aerial slashes and fire spells while sporting wavy, red hair and a gigantic sword. He takes great seriousness in defending Hinna.
Next on schedule is Careena, dubbed the Oracle of Wind. The trailer's voice lines depict her tenaciously trying to persuade an invisible individual she is indeed an alm. Whether she will strive to inherit Hinna's reign or deal with pretendants claiming the title is unknown. Careena is seen cutting through enemy groupings with wind-elemental magic. She also seems to be rather good in aerial fighting, launching herself high and juggling adversaries with her abilities.
Mana Views: The Job System Clarified
Using a variation of the Job system, which usually lets Characters switch their classes in Final Fantasy and related games, Visions of Mana allows This centers in Visions of Mana on the eight Elementals, each of which seems to symbolize a different kind of damage. Using objects known as Spirit Vessels, players can trade classes at will. As the group travels the planet and learns the secrets of the Elementals, it unlocks more Spirit vessels, therefore generating more employment.
By default each character seems to be connected to a specific element: Val with fire, Careena with wind, Morley with ice, Palamena with water, and Julei with grass.
Mana's visions: Story elements
The journey of Hinna to the Tree of Mana forms the central focus of Visions of Mana. Among many people anticipated to travel to the Tree of Mana and donate their souls, Hinna is assigned as an alm. This custom is said to preserve elemental equilibrium everywhere. Val, her childhood friend, goes with her as a Soul Guard, sworn to protect her from the hazards of the road and make sure she does her work.
Hinna and Val encounter like-minded people traveling toward the Tree of Mana who come to join their company. Careena wants to establish herself as a deserving alm, Morley wants to flee a terrible past, and Julei hunts for the lost fairy in the woods. Each of them has their own reason for visiting the Tree of Mana. Val is happy to travel to new areas and welcomes his responsibility to guard Hinna; but, his emotions for her might interfere. Hinna struggles with her obligations at the same time, divided between her civilian, happy life with Val and the need of her sacrifice.
Mana Series
The latest installment in the venerable Mana series, Visions of Mana, should arrive later this summer. The first mainline Mana game in more than 15 years, this would be the sixth major entry into the series. Mana started off as a Final Fantasy spin-off but finally developed independently. Though each character in the series represents a different type of battle, games in the series usually have action combat. They also use adorable, cartoonish visuals that highlight their characters' uniqueness and create a vibrant backdrop.
Originally shown during the 30th anniversary celebration livestream in 2021, Visions of Mana was first shown in a basic teaser lacking even a full title. The most recent trailer offers a glimpse of the gameplay, a synopsis of the plot and characters, and last but not least, a clear Release Date just a few months away. Here is all you need know about the forthcoming Mana Vues.
A Further Explore of Mana's Vision World
Next comes Morley, the resident catboy from Visions of Mana. He is a fencer defending his land from invaders with a refined, honorable fighting style. His speech notes that his native country is no longer under Elemental protection, most likely a guardian spirit not quite resembling Final Fantasy 16's Eikons. He is seen in the trailer overwhelming and stunning foes with magic AoEs and sword thrusts.
For unknown reasons Palamena also travels with Val and Hinna to the Tree of Mana. By calling herself the Queen of the Deep, she suggests she may oversee some undersea dominion. She combines maces with martial arts to knock out adversaries in battle.
The Mana Series: Adventure and Magic Stories
At last there is Julei, a forest sprite who calls magic vines to prod and ensnare foes while performing lute. Julei is waiting for a fairy to arrive; for the woodland guardians, her annual entrance marks a significant event. She hasn't yet shown up, though, which starts Julei to worry. Apart from vines, Julei can call spectral daggers, or transform into a ball of flora and smash down on foes for a broad-ranging assault.
Apart from the five principal playable characters, Visions of Mana will have three supporting characters: Hinna, Aesh, and Ramcoh. Although they cannot be under direct control, they can support the main party by completing specific motions to inflict extra damage. For out-of-combat transportation, players will also be able to call forth specific animal friends.
