Interview with the Vampire Star Teases the Season 2 Ending and the Season 3 Setup
Alert: SPOILERS coming for Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire book and Season 2, episode 6! Interview with the Vampire star Assad Zaman has hinted at how the last episode will set what could happen in season 3, therefore teasing a faithful finish for season 2 of the show. Zaman's Armand let Santiago's Coven capture Louis, Claudia, and Madeleine, therefore placing them on trial for the first two's attempt at killing Lestat, disclosed during the second season's episode six interview with the Vampire. The last minutes of the show also revealed the old vampire to be alive, present for the approaching sufferings in Paris.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Zaman said that, singling out episode 7 especially, Interview With The Vampire Season 2 will be faithfully following Anne Rice's original novel's ending. The actor also notes, though, that there will be some shocks ahead that will prepare the ground for a possible season 3. See what Zaman had to say here below. Though we are laying a lot of fresh strands for season three, I do not think we are straying too far from how the book finishes. Particularly when we reach episode 7, book lovers will see that we honor the plot and it is fantastical in all its forms and we tie things really wonderfully. I think we absolutely represent the story of Interview with the Vampire, the first book, correctly honor it, and concluded it rather elegantly. I am quite happy of how we have presented it.
What Might the Third Vampire Season Interview Cover?
Based on Zaman's comment, it seems the last episode of season 2 will authentically translate Rice's book to the small screen, suggesting a tragic end to Louis' tale. In the original book, Armand saves the protagonist from being starved in a coffin while Claudia and Madeleine are compelled to burn in the sunshine. One important distinction between the book and the play, though, is that the two escapees remain together decades after the sad occurrence occurs in the adaptation.
With Lestat returning in the next episode, it seems all the important characters in Interview with the Vampire's cast will have to do when everything ends will have purpose. Still, if the program is building season 3 with its last episode, there probably will be plenty of unanticipated turns ahead. These might be utilized to move the show into adapting another Rice's The Vampire Chronicles book, the second of which being The Vampire Lestat. Should this occur, the series will have a significant change in direction going forward, so this will be a major turning point.
Interview with the Vampire Season 2 Finale: Preparing Season 3
Though it's unknown what might happen in Interview with the Vampire season 3, it looks assured to incorporate the Talamasca to some degree as well as Lestat's maybe return in the present. Louis and Armand are also probably going to come back, clearly struggling with having to go back over Claudia's death under Daniel's interview. It remains to be seen how the narrative will carry on with an ending consistent with the book, given two episodes left and many of ways the program may build up its future.
The second season's finale for Interview with the Vampire is probably a turning point for the show. It will finish the adaptation of Anne Rice's first book and provide conditions for the possible growth of the Immortal Universe. Fans are sure to be excited to discover what season 3 holds.
