James Gunn announces that the second Peacemaker Season officially began filming under a perfectly on- brand image.
DC Studios CEO James Gunn has verified on social media that official Peacemaker Season 2 filming has started. James Gunn has been updating on the pre-production of Peacemaker season 2 from the second season's first announcement in early 2023. It seems like Gunn's Superman has also found time to start shooting Peacemaker season 2 concurrently as the director is still in Georgia. Starting with Creature Commandos and Superman, Peacemaker season 2 is scheduled to be among the first releases in the DCU's first chapter.
James Gunn posted a picture of a custom-made Peacemaker coffee mug on Instagram bearing the anti-hero's face emblazoned on it and reading "eat peace". The caption is #Peacemaker Season Two shooting now. James Gunn earlier posted a picture of the star John Cena sporting the Peacemaker helmet and getting ready for April Filming. See Gunn's post below here.
James Gunn Verify New & Returning Stars For Second Peacemaker Season
Among the prominent members of the Peacemaker Season 2 cast who James Gunn mentioned on his Instagram post are John Cena, the primary star, Danielle Brooks who plays Leota Adebayo, Steve Agee who plays John Economos, and Jennifer Holland who plays Emilia Harcourt. Tim Meadows and Frank Grillo are among the new cast members; the latter of which will make his DCU debut as Rick Flag Sr. in animated form in 2024's Creature Commandos. The only one that stands out in Gunn's post is the lack of Vigilante's actor Freddie Stroma, who lacks an Instagram account.
James Gunn tagged Robert Patrick, who portrayed Auggie Smith, sometimes known as White Dragon, in Peacemaker season 1. Auggie was a secondary villain in the first season until he confronted his son Chris, who had to kill him. Chris started seeing hallucinations of his father, who taunted him, during the last scene of Peacemaker season 1. Robert Patrick's Auggie Smith will probably keep exerting pressure on Chris Smith from beyond the tomb, therefore enhancing the connection between the first and second seasons.
The DC Universe: Reviewing Its History
Among the biggest comic book franchises, the DC Universe routinely challenges Marvel.Beginning National Allied Publications in 1935, Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson later transformed it to DC Comics. From then, many more comic books, movies, TV shows, and video games have sprung from the brand. 2013 marked the beginning of the most current iteration of the superheroes as Zack Snyder revealed Henry Cavill as Superman. After seeing multiple movies with mixed reviews, DC underwent a soft reboot under James Gunn and Peter Safran.
The DC Universe will see some fresh actors as legendary characters; deathstroke is a part that will most likely be recreated with some excellent choices.

Bat-Family characters sometimes find themselves starting families and becoming settled down. Nightwing and Batgirl have been flirting with the idea for years; Batman has tried marriage and produced children. But the surprising granddaughter DC has just revealed comes from famed family man Commissioner James Gordon.
Batman's point of view describes Mark Russell and Michael Allred's Dark Age #3 as he dwells in a nursing home drafting a book on his past exploits. Inspired by his psychiatrist, Nightwing and Barbara Gordon—shown on new preview pages—who happens to be James Gordon's granddaughter—he completes this at her encouragement.

James Gunn Says the DC Universe Will Feature a Major Justice League Villain.
James Gunn might have confirmed that a major Justice League villain is on route into the DC Universe. Gunn's DC Universe is currently under production following the end of the DCEU in 2023, therefore bringing a new era of DC movies and TV shows. It will also feature fresh incarnations of some DC canon heroes and villains since multiple movies and series are under production.
Responding on a Gunn Instagram photo, a fan begged to "please wink if you have plans for Deathstroke, I am waiting for my boy to shine for so long." Not too long after, Gunn answered with a winking emoji likely confirming Slade Wilson's entry into the new DC Universe.
