Evangeline Lilly is "stepping away from acting."
Following her most recent appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Evangeline Lilly has made the unexpected news that she is quitting acting, casting uncertainty on Wasp's future in the MCU. She joined the MCU in 2015, as Hope Van Dyne in Ant-Man, while first becoming well-known as Kate in Lost ( 2004–2010). She assumed the Wasp mantle in Ant-Man and then performed the character in Avengers: Endgame as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Her tenure as Wasp might be ending as she posted a recent Instagram Reel including an unexpected declaration. The film on the tape shows 2006 when she expressed her aspirations for her life and profession 10 years later. Along with the video, there is a long statement expressing her thanks for her work but stating she is leaving acting. Lilly said, "I may return to Hollywood one day, but, for now, this is where I belong," suggesting that she does not have any acting aspirations in the near future even if she did not say whether she is formally through with portraying Wasp.
Should a future MCU film feature Will Evangeline Lilly's Wasp making a comeback?
Once Kang was under control in Quantumania, Wasp and Ant-man just left the Quantum Realm. Plans for an Ant-Man 4 do not exist right now, especially considering the third movie's unsatisfactory box office performance. Though Lilly isn't the one performing, Wasp still has chances for comeback.
Wasp is still a vital team member and Avengers 5 and 6 will almost definitely be multiverse events bringing back Marvel heroes from both ancient and new generations. Given that she already knows Kang should he be the villain, hope is a powerful and helpful friend. Secret Wars presents another great chance for Hope to go since it will provide character variances from other worlds. This lets Marvel use Wasp in the movie without having Lilly since Wasp might show up as someone else or even a different gender.
Will Wasp be returning in the MCU going forward?
Following her most recent roles in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Evangeline Lilly says she want to quit acting. Lilly portrayed Hope Van Dyne in Ant-man, later assuming the Wasp role in that film. Lilly joined Avengers: Endgame as well.
Wasp's character is very important in the Mcu, hence there are lots of chances for her comeback. A key MCU character is Wasp. Lilly has declared her retirement, but the MCU has several possibilities.

The powers of Ant-Man, Wasp, and Scott Lang
Though they are still lacking some from Marvel Comics, Scott Lang, Ant-Man, and Hope van Dyne, Wasp, have shown off amazing talents since their Mcu premiere. Though these characters' skills are still developing, the MCU is always broadening their scope.
Wasp has a lot of opportunities as the MCU grows. Wasp will probably remain among the outstanding MCU heroes. The MCU's future seems bright.
The future of the MCU's Wasp is unknown.
Marvel might choose to recast Lilly if the company still has significant Wasp ambitions when she leaves Hollywood. It could be more difficult as Lilly has performed her part for far longer than Terrance Howard and Edward Norton, although Marvel has changed actors in the past. Still, given Lilly's retirement, it would be unfortunate for Wasp's MCU path to finish to conclude Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Since its starting point, the MCU has expanded substantially. The way the series has evolved and altered has delighted both supporters and detractors. The MCU will give something much awaited by fans.
