Surprising Top 10 Movies This Week from Netflix
Although Netflix is well-known for its highly praised films, some of this week's top titles might surprise viewers. Though many people view Netflix as a Streaming behemoth with a lot of critically praised content, the platform also features films with a sizable audience despite their bad response.
It seems Netflix is turning becoming a venue where people will see new releases independent of reviews or quality. One wonders why this happens and how it will affect Movies as a kind of art.
From the Reviewers Ranks Highest, Jennifer Lopez's New Netflix Action Movie With a Terrible 17% Rotten Tomatoes Score highest.
With a dreadful 17% Rotten Tomatoes score, Jennifer Lopez's new Netflix action picture Atlas ranks highest on the streamer worldwide. From Brad Peyton (known for helmingross the Dwayne Johnson star vehicles Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, San Andreas, and Rampage) with a script by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite, Netflix's new sci-fi action film follows a data analyst who teams with an artificial intelligence to confront a renegade robot bent on eradicating humanity. Apart from Lopez in the lead role, Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, and Mark Strong form the Atlas ensemble.
A few days after its release, Lopez's new action movie already ranks #1 on Netflix globally. Atlas ranked #1 on Netflix's Global Top 10 list for the week of May 20–26 with 56.3 million hours viewed and 28.2 million total views. With 10.7 million views, it topped the second spot Thelma the Unicorn in its second week in the Top 10. Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Mother of the Bride, Disturbia, Sing 2, Ice Age: Collision Course, A Simple Favor, Madame Web, and Security round the top 10.
the Evolution of Netflix
Atlas reflects a larger Netflix pattern not only for Lopez but also for most consumers who view whatever new movie launches on the Streaming platform that weekend with little regard given to its quality. Particularly irritating is Furiosa, George Miller's prequel to his 2015 hit Mad Max: Fury Road, which failed at the box office even with excellent reviews this past Memorial Day weekend. As consumers become more reluctant about visiting theatres, the Netflix trend is probably going to endure for the foreseeable future.
Atlas on streaming is available via Netflix.
The Challenge of Tires
When it debuted on Netflix, all of these components virtually assured success. Tires is not performing as well among critics despite with strong audience figures using a 50% Tomatometer. Having said that, the program is doing fantastic with viewers who gave its audience rating of 92%. When Tires gets into its second week, who knows what it can do? If it can perform only four days in the chart cycle and quickly following the publication of Bridgerton.
Tires on Netflix is streaming available.

Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad stars in your Honor as a judge, an intense TV drama show. Will it get a third even if it ran two seasons? The drama features first-rate acting and storyline, but Your Honor failed to captivate viewers or critics. Though views on both fronts are divided, the Rotten Tomatoes consensus falls in the 50–60%. The story and pacing were deemed off-target even though the performers get compliments. But Cranston's Breaking Bad follow-up might find second life thanks to a Netflix transfer.
