New Comic Book Venture of Metro Boomin
Award-winning producer Metro Boomin is creating his own Comic Book universe. Recently caught in the crossfire of Kendrick Lamar and Drake's rap conflict over the past few months, the genius behind Across the Spider-Verse found himself Kendrick retaliated by ordering Metro to keep out of their business and instead "make some drums" on the song "Push Ups," after Metro produced his "Like That" diss track to the Canadian rapper.
Metro Boomin is eager to put all of that controversy behind him now, as seen in a preview posted on Metroverse.media, with his Metroverse, which starts with Metro Boomin, Vasilis Lolos, Fred Stresing, Micah Myers, Vincent King, and Josh Frankel. Below are Lolos' cover art, Vincent Kings' variation cover, and an additional page and packaging peek for the launch.
Metro Boomin flips a negative into a positive.
Metro Boomin was not personally involved in the conflict between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, yet it has started to define both Metro and his work. Through his successful recordings, someone like Metro has ruled the rap scene for far too long to allow a little conflict define his work. He can best turn the story in a favorable direction with this Metroverse initiative. While former supporters may come back to applauding Metro Boomin for his inventiveness rather than his part in something unpleasant, anyone who found him through this beef can now re-discover him in a different way.
Metro Boomin: The Rise #1 formally starts sales on June 14.
Master of media manipulation and business corruption, The Suit aims to subjugate the city by lies and terror.
But standing in his path is Metro Boomin, armed with unequaled inventiveness and his miraculous amulet, he battles back with the strength of his beats and willpower.
The first issue will reveal the deeper darkness beneath The Suit and highlight Metro Boomin's Superhero origin tale. Based on the solicit, it seems as though The Suit will represent how the corporate music business could suppress artistic ability, therefore corrupting that skill. Metro Boomin will be the hero who illuminates the gloom in popular music in meantime. Metro Boomin's limited edition Comic Book box will arrive with one enamel pin and one art print along with an autographed variant cover limited to 300.
