The Deadpool Universe: More Heroes Needed
We've been through so many Deadpool shenanigans; we saw Ryan Reynolds break the fourth wall a whole bunch of times and were introduced to X-Force in Deadpool 2. Then bam, "Deadpool & Wolverine" hit the big screen and threw us a whole bunch of twists and turns, and then there’s this glaring omission - the movie left out some of the most awesome members of the Deadpool squad. Where did they go? And will we see them again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)? It looks like fans still need those heroes!
"Deadpool & Wolverine" really brought in some familiar faces from the previous Deadpool films: Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Blind Al, and even Dopinder are back for some awesome Marvel shenanigans. But wait - where were the members of X-Force: Cable, Domino, and Firefist? Cable and Domino’s storylines in "Deadpool 2" were pretty insane! And Firefist’s character, that kid from "Deadpool 2" who’s got super heated powers (sorry, gotta keep that fourth-wall thing in mind). All three had a major hand in creating that awesome X-Force vibe in "Deadpool 2." But why did those awesome characters disappear for "Deadpool & Wolverine" ? It just seems a little odd!
The Missing Friends - Earth 10005
There were those crazy theories floating around that "Deadpool & Wolverine" would basically wipe out the original X-Men universe (called Earth-10005) before everything merged into the MCU's timeline. Maybe that’s what happened, right? It would've been pretty big, since that could've created a fresh start, a whole new story arc. And there was even the thought of "recasting" and re-imagining a whole X-Force for the MCU. We’re talking like, the big reboot button.
And to throw us a huge twist? "Deadpool & Wolverine" actually saves Earth 10005. We still have X-Force – it didn’t just disappear from the Marvel universe. That was a good thing, right? I'm just saying - all those missing characters (we’re missing Cable, Domino, and Firefist) from “Deadpool 2” — they didn't die. It just felt a little odd they were missing in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” If they are still hanging around the Marvel Universe (because who wouldn’t want those heroes in their team!), then this is still just another fun chapter in Deadpool's big-screen saga.
The Importance of Cable, Domino, and Firefist
Deadpool isn't really the same without Cable and Domino – they make those missions SO MUCH FUN! Let’s rewind a minute to "Deadpool 2." They make this wild team and create a pretty fantastic X-Force to take down Mr. Paradox (and the mutant kid, Firefist) from becoming a threat to everyone.
Think about those stories for a minute: They could become something pretty epic! With Deadpool taking that big leap into the MCU, and now the chance that we could see those crazy characters make a return? You have to agree - that would totally re-energize Deadpool's storyline! Plus, everyone seems to love Cable, Domino, and Firefist in that movie - so the audience is really ready for these fan favorites to show up again!
What Does the Future Hold for the Merc with a Mouth and the MCU?
Let's not forget "Deadpool 3". It’s definitely on our minds and should be hitting theatres in 2024. This movie could be our ticket into those great storylines! Since we know Disney merged 20th Century Fox with Marvel, “Deadpool 3” will be a full-blown MCU production! So… does that mean we can anticipate even bigger, even crazier, and perhaps a little more MCU-ish X-Force teams? With Deadpool doing crossovers, everything is changing!
Think of how insane this whole Deadpool situation could get: Imagine those “Deadpool & Wolverine" cameos. Imagine a “Deadpool 3” story line, where they take the MCU characters (Wolverine, Spider-Man, even Daredevil) for a wild ride! I have this sneaking suspicion: Those fan favorites we're missing - Cable, Domino, and Firefist, might just be around the corner, making "Deadpool 3" even more wild. But hey, this is all just speculating! You know how it goes in Hollywood and comic book films… things change really fast!
