Aquaman 3 Villain Timothee Chalamet: DC Trilogy Ending Concept Trailer for Jason Momoa

Timothee Chalamet might still be a fantastic DCU casting choice.

Timothée Chalamet is now somewhat well-known in Hollywood, even though he hasn't yet starred in an underwater DCEU adventure. Unsurprisingly, this has resulted in a flood of fan casts for the Dune actor; one character in particular won the most often chosen casting decision. With James Gunn offering an all-new interpretation of the Bat Family in the next The Brave and the Bold film - the DCU's take on Batman - some fans are demanding for Chalamet to play Dick Grayson, AKA Nightwing.

Originally Batman's longtime sidekick, Nightwing is the charismatic vigilante who co-founded and leads the Teen Titans, having dropped the Robin mantle to go it alone. Nightwing's involvement is almost certain since Teen Titans are confirmed to be on the DCU release slate. Still, whether Chalamet—who most resembles the character and would be the ideal age to represent him—would play the part is somewhat dubious. Regarding his Hollywood career, Chalamet has said that Leonardo DiCaprio had instructed him, "No superhero Movies, no hard drugs." Chalamet added that he would still consider the superhero film in issue even if its director and writing were good; he even mentioned The Dark Knight as inspiration. Though it isn't part of an Aquaman trilogy, there may yet be hope for Chalamet's superhero career given this in mind and James Gunn is leading the DCU with promise.

an imaginary ending for Aquaman

Timothée Chalamet is the unknown villain of a concept teaser for an unrealized Aquaman trilogy in the DCEU, therefore providing an ending. Aquaman's DCEU stint consisted in just two solo films; Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is the swansong film for December 2023. Though there is still hope for the beloved actor to return to the DCU in another capacity, Jason Momoa will not be returning as Arthur Curry now the DCEU is well and truly dead in the water.

With a $1.1 billion global box office turnout, 2018's Aquaman was the DCEU's highest grossing film. Inspired by Momoa's legendary portrayal of Aquaman, YouTube producer KH Studio created a dramatic, although very strange concept trailer for Aquaman 3. View the entire trailer below: Though this will probably never come to pass, the teaser showing Aquaman confronting another oceanic threat—Timothée Chalamet—whose "appearance" takes the shape of a still image on the backdrop of the sea. Though it's safe to conclude Chalamet's character is critical of Curry's reign, who Chalamet is meant to be representing in the film is obviously unknown.

The DC Universe of James Gunn: Is It Still to Happen?

James Gunn responds on the issue of whether one of DC's most recognizable foes in the Justice League mythology will join the DC Universe. James Gunn might have announced that a big Justice League villain is scheduled to enter the DC Universe. Following the end of the DCEU in 2023, Gunn's DC Universe is now under development, therefore ushering a new age of DC Movies and TV shows. As several movies and shows are under development, it will also bring fresh iterations of some DC canon heroes and villains.

Commenting on a Gunn Instagram picture, a fan pleaded to "please wink if you have plans for Deathstroke, I am waiting for my boy to shine for so long." Gunn responded with a winking emoji shortly later, apparently verifying Slade Wilson's inclusion into the new DC Universe. Joe Manganiello portrayed Deathstroke in the DCEU film timeline, which marks the last time he was seen on the big screen. Given what Gunn advised Manganiello to let go of Deathstroke when multiple ideas didn't work out, it seems unlikely that he will be returned to do a new rendition of Deathstroke.

One of the largest comic book franchises, the DC Universe regularly rivals Marvel.Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson launched National Allied Publications in 1935, then changed it to DC Comics. Thousands more comic books, movies, TV programs, and video games have sprung from the brand since then. Under James Gunn and Peter Safran, DC had a gentle reboot following multiple films with mixed reviews.

Examining Aquaman Close-up

Aquaman, an action-adventure movie released in 2018, revolves on the DC Comics hero with same name. Set following Justice League events, the narrative tracks Arthur Curry as he avoids his fate as king of Atlantis. A vendetta drives Arthur to stand up to save Atlantis - and the planet - from threatening powers aiming at ocean dominion.
