Ghibli Park is secret within the Japanese Aichi prefecture's forests. Discovering a new world full of Easter eggs, character cameos, themed restaurants, and unusual shopping experiences will thrill fans of Miyazaki and the other Studio Ghibli creators. Inspired by late 19th-century sci-fi architecture seen in movies like Castle in the Sky and Howl's Moving Castle, the Elevator Tower in Hill of Youth is the absolutely beautiful approach to get a birds-eye perspective of the park. Howl's Castle in the Valley of Witches, a 20-meter tall two-story castle just like the one in Miyazaki's famous fantasy romance, is maybe one of the shiniest crown jewels in the park.
Limited to premium pass holders, Satsuki and Mei's house from My Neighbor Totoro in Dondoko Forest is Comprising a kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom, study, and more, the Japanese-Western-style house transports viewers into the world of one of Ghibli's most popular stories. Fans of Princess Mononoke will be happy to see that Mononoke Village is a part of the park specifically dedicated for this movie. Here, visitors may learn to create Gohei-mochi, a local delicacy in the hillside communities of Aichi and adjacent prefectures, at the Tatara-ba, a hands-on learning center inspired by the film.
