Corridor Crew, the popular VFX YouTube channel, just gave a big thumbs up to Infested! The French Horror Movie, directed by Sébastien Vaniček, follows a guy who gets a spider, which unleashes a whole mess of venomous trouble on his apartment building. Infested was a big hit in France, and it's been getting great reviews from critics and fans all over, including Stephen King.
Corridor Crew's Niko, Wren, and the rest of the gang had a blast reacting to Infested. They loved the way the movie used real spiders and CGI to create some really creepy effects. Niko even said the spiders were "animated so well" - it's scary good!
Infested is a great sign for the future of Horror Movies. For one, it could bring back Spider Horror movies. Lots of recent movies have used spiders for laughs, but Infested shows that arachnids can be seriously scary. It's not just about the scares, either. Infested is clever, with some smart social commentary about France.
And Sébastien Vaniček has a great new project coming up, a spinoff for the Evil Dead franchise. He's working on it with Florent Bernard, who co-wrote Infested. If Vaniček can bring the same creepy vibes from Infested to the Evil Dead world, that could be a super exciting movie!
Infested is already a hit, and it's making a big splash for Shudder, the streaming service that's known for horror Movies. They just put out Late Night With The Devil, which was super popular online, and now they have Infested, which is getting rave reviews. With King on board, Shudder could be about to get a whole lot more subscribers!
Maybe Infested's success will lead to even more great horror Movies from talented filmmakers like Vaniček. And who knows, maybe even more spider-filled nightmares too.
