Bad Boys 4 Audience Score Crushes Rotten Tomatoes Franchise Record
The fourth Bad Boys film, Ride or Die, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as two friend cops trying to maintain the good legacy of their Captain, has already smashed franchise records soon after its premiere. Having made an estimated $53 million on its first weekend, it was released on June 7 and is already showing to be rather popular at the box office. Given the enormous budget of Bad Boys 4, this is absolutely necessary for it to finally be successful.
Still, Ride or Die has shown to be a positive outlier already. Having a 97% Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score at the time of writing, the film has grown to be the highest-rated Bad Boy film. It comes right above Bad Boys for Life, with a 96% mark. Although more people see Ride or Die will cause fluctuations in the results, early in its run the crowd reception is outstanding.

Bad Boys Franchise Rotten Tomatoes Score Streak
Rotten Tomatoes for Bad Boys have been getting better over years. Ride or Die has won popular affection even if it is not the most critically praised film in the series. Its 97% marks it one point above Bad Boys for Life and 19 points above Bad Boys and Bad Boys II. Although no Bad Boys film has ever received sub 75% among viewers, the notable increase in Audience Score followed from directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah leading the franchise from Michael Bay.
Not quite as high is the Tomatometer score, which is derived from critic responses. Bad Boys for Life is the only Bad Boys film that has ever scored over 75% on the Tomatometer Ride or Die scores a 64% Tomatometer; Bad Boys had a 44% score and Bad Boys II had a horrible 24%. Though the latest ratings have been more positive than they were in the 90s or the early 2000s, Bad Boys still get conflicting opinions.
Where does the Bad Boys Franchise stand going forward?
Should Bad Boys 5 ever take place, the positive run could remain but it will be challenging to raise the current audience score. With a 97% score, popular blockbuster films may find it quite challenging as there are just three more points till it hits perfection. The average audience rating is an amazing 4.7 out of 5; so, increasing from there would not cause a significant score change. Already a hit film among viewers, Ride or Die is barely behind Bad Boys for Life in terms of score.
