Born From A Wish
Those who played the original Silent Hill 2 back in 2001, (or later when the Greatest Hits version came out) might remember a special side story! It was a bonus game called "Born From a Wish." This sub-scenario gives players a deeper understanding of a specific character, Maria!
While the story is intense and complex and features plenty of creepy moments, some might be left wondering, as the story behind Maria never came up in any of the marketing!
What Is Born From A Wish?
This side-story appeared as a free add-on in the original Xbox version that came out way back in 2001. Then later came PC, in 2002, and ultimately it became a part of the Playstation 2 Greatest Hits releases.
This game centers around the events Maria went through and shows her actions before she meets up with James! What we see in "Born From A Wish," begins when Maria contemplates taking her life. We then get to see what happens when Maria enters the Silent Hill, looking for people and ends up meeting up with James!
She discovers something along the way, as she goes to this mansion looking for answers Ernest Baldwin lives. Even though she is able to see Ernest Baldwin in the mansion through the door! The final part features her giving up, with "Born From A Wish" ending when Maria finds James and the Silent Hill plot really begins!

This really bummed a lot of fans who may have wanted to re-experience a really awesome tale! There are some really great and new moments as well! A cool aspect, fans might be able to experience is an in-game scene that feels like that side-story. It is when Maria mentions it feels very familiar and like she may have already been in that mansion.

Gamers always appreciate some amazing updates after a game is released! So for anyone hoping this great tale returns!

There is speculation! In fact, a side story was remade! This occurred with the "Resident Evil 4 Remake" with the special add-on called "The Separate Ways" DLC.
Although, this DLC is not guaranteed, it seems, after the success that "Silent Hill 2 Remake" has enjoyed, many gamers and fans will eagerly anticipate what this next story may have. Bloober Team has teamed up with Konami (the maker of Silent Hill!) so there are definitely even more awesome stories "Born From A Wish" might even come true. For those who aren't familiar with these amazing gaming worlds. These universes are massive and full of really creative storylines that really draw gamers into them!
