Get ready to unleash some epic power in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero! This game has a massive roster of characters, including the awesome villain, Goku Black. But getting him isn't as easy as it sounds!
Unlocking Goku Black
There are two ways to add this powerful character to your team. You can unlock him by playing through the game and reaching Player Level 20. Then, he'll appear in the Shop. You can reach this level faster by completing Episode Battles and playing Offline Tournaments.
But if you want Goku Black ASAP, there's a faster, cooler way: Super Shenron!
Summoning Super Shenron
To summon this wish-granting dragon, you have to collect all seven Super Dragon Balls. Luckily, completing all of Goku's Saga Episode Battles gives you them all at once. The "Come Forth" menu is where the fun begins, it lets you call this awesome cosmic entity, the very same one who helped Zamasu take over Goku's body in the first place!
There are also regular Dragon Balls in the game and by fulfilling the wishes of Zen-Oh and Whis you earn these.
- These will help to summon Shenron.
- And one of his wishes will reward you with a lot of Zeni—the game's currency.
That can then be used to unlock characters in the Shop, but this may take longer depending on when and how you gain Zeni. It’s worth noting, Super Shenron's the fastest route since he's directly related to Goku Black's origin.
Deluxe Edition Bonus
Those who bought the Deluxe Edition of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero got an amazing early gift: a free wish from Super Shenron. As soon as you summon him, choose "More Characters" from the wish options. Super Shenron gives you a choice:
- Goku Black
- Fused Zamasu
No matter who you pick first, you’ll have to work to unlock the other. You either need to grind for Zeni or summon Super Shenron again using the Super Dragon Balls, you can find these from various parts of the optional Episode Battles.
