Other noteworthy references are the Lucario VStar promo card for Crown Zenith expansion. User CinnaToastKrunch on Reddit notes that they "own +30 of them," therefore highlighting just how much they value the card displaying the Fighting-type Pokémon. Outside V cards, user Ilovebagels88 notes the Illustration Rare variant of Gloom from the Obsidian Flames expansion for Pokémon TCG, to which another user responds, appreciating the card's "great artwork."

Although many cards in the Pokémon TCG universe are quite costly because of their rarity, outstanding artwork, gameplay effects, or mix of all three, some cards are quite reasonably priced. Usually reserved for the standard prints of the most often used cards in every collection, this category of cards includes some of the new cards for the expansion of Pokémon TCG. Still, there are Rare Cards with unique forms of artwork that are rather reasonably priced and worth acquiring even if their prices fall on the lower end of typical for Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares.
Actually, some players began a discussion about some of the most reasonably priced Rare Cards in the Trading Card Game. Reddit user Trevor-On-Reddit starts a conversation that begs the issue of which "cheap" cards gamers most like. The user notes, for instance, the ordinary print of the Lugia V card from the Silver Tempest expansion claiming they "couldn't believe this Lugia is like $3." Then the user Lord-Nagafen refers to the Charizard VStar card from the Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield Black Star Promos, whose artwork shows Charizard confronting Mewtwo.
The Keldeo print for the Crown Zenith expansion is "absolute stunner and super cheap," claims user nocasb68 on Reddit. The card has a magnificent piece of vibrant artwork covering its whole surface. The Illustration Rare print of the Palafin card for Pokémon TCG's Paldesan Fates expansion is a more recent example the user TheSilentPhotog noted. As a user responded to The Silent PhotoG, they pointed out that this card was rather common in the set. Still, it shows a lovely Hero Form picture of a Shiny Palafin.
Although some cards have a lower drop rate depending on specific sets, it is somewhat typical for uncommon cards to be valued very little. Of course, promo cards that are a guaranteed acquisition from some bundles typically have a cheaper cost; yet, even Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares occasionally have low pricing because of how commonly they are found in booster packs.
Based on TCGPlayer's current pricing, all the cards listed above are cheaper than $15.
Although they move less money, some of these cards are sought after just for their appearance, even if their value isn't reflected in great expenses. The Reddit debate just serves to show that players only need to know which Cheap Cards to target; they do not have to spend hundreds of dollars to get nice-looking cards in Pokémon TCG.
