Users of Xbox Game Pass will get another day-one game on July 16.
Based on their last showcase, Microsoft has been stressing the Xbox title Pass service in 2024; now, a new title has been revealed for July release. Unlike other recent announcements, the game is an Indie Game from the ID@Xbox team rather than a AAA development.
Available day one on Game Pass, the game is titled Magical Delicacy. According to its official ID@Xbox YouTube page description, a small girl named Flora entered a new village and would star in the game.

Though the game seems to be a mix of old-school title and cookery, Magical Delicacy bills itself as a Metroidvania-lite with culinary elements. In that respect, Flora will have greater access to Grat via platforming as she gets better in cooking and presentation. By using shortcuts she will even have faster access to regions, helping her to explore the town in search of the supplies she requires to make a dinner for every one of her clients. The more places she finds, the more individuals she can visit and service.
Released first on Xbox Game Pass on July 16, Magical Delicacy will be playable on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Microsoft has been pushing the obvious signals that its Game Pass will include more AAA titles in the coming few months and 2025, rather than emphasizing too much on its Indie Games lately. Seeing an independent game get the daily treatment alongside its AAA counterparts is refreshing.

Grat wants this space to be somewhere she might develop her magical abilities. Still, the game does not develop them in the conventional sense. Rather, Flora travels about town cooking mouthwatering cuisine with a range of ingredients. Using a special cooking technique, she can create every dish especially for every client and ideally prepare for them once more later.
