Jedi: Survivor Arrives On PS4 and Xbox One
You ready to return to the Star Wars galaxy with Cal Kestis, a Jedi hero? Get this, you can play "Jedi: Survivor" on older consoles now!
Jedi: Survivor landed on the newer Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and the PC earlier this year, and most reviewers really loved it! It was definitely cool to see what Respawn did with the game after that incredible "Jedi: Fallen Order" debut. There's even some crazy combos with a lightsaber and a blaster. This new installment of the story got a ton of attention when it dropped in April, but some of you were a little bummed you needed a brand new console to give it a spin!
Hold On To Your Last Gen Console: Jedi: Survivor is Coming!
That's why EA gave some pretty sweet news last August when they announced they’d be dropping "Jedi: Survivor" on last gen consoles. This isn't news from the far-off galaxy! It’s real! EA says they are making the new game compatible for the older Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and guess what? You'll even get "Fallen Order" as a bonus with that combo! So there is zero need to rush out to buy a new console! If you’ve been a big fan of Star Wars games, especially if you love "Jedi: Fallen Order", then this is an awesome moment for fans.
Here's the good news, everyone who has been holding off on this new "Jedi: Survivor" will be able to finally join Cal on his journey. Fans get to dive into a really amazing, challenging story and a whole new set of adventures and it's super intriguing.
When Will "Jedi: Survivor" Finally Land on Older Consoles?
Hold onto your seats, Star Wars fans, because EA just announced a drop date: September 17th! It is now or never for that long-awaited console launch.
Get ready to dive into "Fallen Order" too if you haven't yet! EA's making this super easy for fans with a bundle that gives you "Fallen Order" first, so you're ready for the newest story in the Jedi: Survivor game. But wait, there's more! It is like an extra little gift, EA’s got "dual entitlement" for you, so those who are rocking Playstation 4 and Xbox One will have their game compatible to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, meaning it’s not locked to a specific system! Awesome!
"Jedi: Survivor" Performance, a Work in Progress?
It was tough in the beginning to really play "Jedi: Survivor", it felt clunky with all those bugs on the newest consoles, but EA promises a smooth transition to PS4 and Xbox One! This isn't just throwing out an old game; the devs say they’re putting a lot of time and work into the PS4 and Xbox One launch, which gives hope for a much smoother experience. Even the PC version is getting updated to make it better for all fans, but, as we all know, those game devs sometimes have more trouble with PC Gaming, right?
If you’re super hyped for "Jedi: Survivor" or just haven’t gotten around to the first one, it’s worth looking into the bundles they have on sale now. And remember, if you decide to move to a new console, "Dual Entitlement" will still get you going. But as always, we need to remember that those last-gen games can still have issues. It’ll be super interesting to see what feedback the player base has on how it performs.
