Max Mayfield's Shocking "Dear Billy" Ending
You know how "Stranger Things" loves its intense and surprising moments? The scene where Max gets possessed by Vecna in "Dear Billy," Episode 4 of Season 4? Talk about wild! That moment, where Max levitates up in the air as her mind becomes consumed by the darkness of Vecna's evil, was just about the scariest thing we saw in the whole season. The whole scene, with her and Vecna facing off against Eleven and Eddie, had me hooked from start to finish, but nothing could compare to the scene when Vecna grabs hold of her.
Actress Sadie Sink, who plays Max, even mentioned it was a difficult moment to film, but what was hard was the actual, real-life stunt part! Sadie explained how she was kind of terrified of heights at first, which definitely wouldn't make those levitating scenes a whole lot of fun! She even said she rehearsed the scene a year and a half before the shoot and then had to do it all over again because COVID happened. Seriously, it just kept throwing roadblocks in the way. But despite that whole situation, she was still ready to confront her fears and nailed the scene!
Sadie Sink's Epic "Stranger Things" Performance
Sadie Sink had some big shoes to fill when she became Max. She had to embody that badass punk girl who fights off bullies, gets all the attention from the boys, and does everything on her own terms, a bit edgy and sarcastic but ultimately strong-willed and loyal! And if you thought she was going to crumble at some big scary scene like her Vecna-powered-up moment, think again.
It just shows what a capable actress she is! And just think of all that stuff she had to deal with while filming Season 4 - not just all the intense dramatic moments, but that whole situation with Vecna and all that time being suspended in the air? Seriously! I give the woman kudos!
Stranger Things Season 5: Theories and the Return of Max Mayfield
At the end of Season 4, we found out that Max had gone through some serious hardship. She gets blinded by Vecna, and after a fight, ends up with all kinds of broken bones, essentially falling into a coma. That left everyone pretty torn apart - a lot of fans, for real, were pretty heartbroken by the fate of Max. But the Duffer Brothers gave us a glimpse of hope when Eleven uses her powers to essentially pull Max back from the brink of death. And thankfully, she was back at that table read! I bet a lot of the cast and fans would have loved seeing that!
No one really knows for sure what's gonna happen with Max in Season 5. We know she's coming back! But what are those chances that she could be brought back in full? Could Max end up falling under Vecna's control or become his puppet, making a crazy fight happen between Max, Eleven, and Vecna? Maybe Eleven will be the one to pull Max back to her former self, but how much of her body and mind will be restored? There's so much suspense heading into Season 5! We're all on pins and needles!
Stranger Things' Future: New Seasons and New Characters?
Fans are pretty anxious to get their hands on Season 5. But how long do we have to wait? You guessed it, no release date yet. The Duffer Brothers just let it be known that it'll be coming sometime in 2025 - and we know this season will be the last for the series! Season 5 has the opportunity to wrap up some lingering questions, but there’s the whole thing with how the upside down world will get dealt with. Will they ever defeat the monster, or is Hawkins destined to go back and forth between normal and chaos forever?
I hope it won't be a rushed story and that they'll get a chance to give all those “Stranger Things” characters the incredible sendoff they deserve. Of course, fans are all thinking, what's going to happen after the series ends? Could the Duffer Brothers bring back some of those fan-favorite characters from the show, or maybe introduce completely new stories and characters in the same world? It’s all speculation at this point, but I feel like the "Stranger Things" universe has so many compelling threads and awesome possibilities.
"Stranger Things" Cast Members Are Superstars
The actors on "Stranger Things" have come a long way! Just look at Sadie Sink, who came on for Season 2. She became a "Stranger Things" fan-favorite in a very short amount of time, but now? She’s been getting cast in major projects along with all the other talented actors, proving they are so incredibly talented. It's been pretty amazing to see how "Stranger Things" has allowed those young stars to grow up on screen and transition to bigger roles.
But, honestly, with a series that made such an impact - not just as a Netflix series, but for pop culture as a whole - who can blame them? The Duffer Brothers have crafted this incredible universe and allowed for characters to evolve into fan favorites. We can't wait to see where this awesome journey takes those amazing actors!
